Cheap and cheerful. It's a 2.5 star hotel, so rather basic, as you would except. I was traveling with a wheelchair. The wheelchair accessible room has nice wide doors, and is conveniently located nearest to the front door. However, the "accessible" bathroom, whilst spacious and with a wide door, is a bit tired, but more importantly, it has a shower over the bath, making it entirely inaccessible. To be accessible, it needs a walk-in type shower to replace the bath. It was hot weather when I stayed and, whilst this is not the hotel's fault, the lack of ventilation is. There is no fan and the windows are able to be opened only 3in/75mm, which does not allow for any ventilation. "For our safety" according to the sticker. It's a ground floor room. It won't matter if you jump out, and it faces the back of the hotel, so it's unlikely anyone will come in. It was like a sauna in the room, making sleep difficult. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Rather expensive for what it is. The advertising at the front of the hotel claims £39/night. My room was £105. It provided a comfortable bed for the night, which is what I needed, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Pros:The location was ideal for me because I have brothers and a sister close by.
Cons:1- It was so hot that I could not sleep all night, I had two cold showers to try and cool down but that didn't work. 2- I had my windows open to try and cool down but this Lodge is located within 25 feet of the A5 and the very loud noise from lorries, motorcycles and cars will keep most people awake. 3- I booked for two nights but after the first night I told the staff I could not stay another night and would like to check out and get a refund, the manager was contacted and said the booking was a non-refundable one so they refused to refund my 83 pounds, but told me they were expecting fans to come in that day.
