The decor was uptodate, everywhere was clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Ideally situated for getting the train into City Centre. Couldn't fault any of it.
Greet hotel and the staff were lovely and always happy to help. A lot cheaper then premier inn/travelogue and lot nicer too. Good location with an Asda a few minutes walk up the road and the train station into down a few minutes walk down the road. Had little pack of complementary biscuits, shampoos and tea/coffee/hot chocolate with a kettle in the room. Will definitely stay again.
I did get a bit lost on the way back from the train station but this was due to me making a wrong turn. Luckily every street seemed to have been connected so I ended up back in the right place. Also the only plug socket available was next to the kettle instead of behind the dressing table. But not to much of an issue.
Clean and comfortable. Pleasant and friendly. Good breakfast. 10 mins walk from Orrell Par railway station with frequent trains to/from city centre. I have stayed here several times and would do so again.
Everything was fine.
The staff were incredibly kind and were not robotic in any way!
The shower was a little weak however this isn’t a complaint that would prevent us staying again - we certainly would.
This is a nice private hotel. All the rooms and communal areas are nicely decorated and comfortable. There were only a few staff, but they were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and cooked to order. There is a bar. The surrounding area is quiet, no traffic noise at night.
As with many hotels I have been in, the lighting could be improved. I could have done with better light for reading, in the lounge and in my room. The lighting in the lounge would be better if warm-white lamps were used rather than the harsh white ones. There is a car park behind (not that parking is a problem round there) but it's a bit scruffy and not well lit. Some work there would improve the general impression, I think. There is a good clear sign at the front but it only faces one way; I didn't see it till I had turned back having missed it the other way. Bear in mind there is no dinner available and nowhere obvious to eat in the immediate area. It wasn't a problem for me though.
