We were upgraded to a four poster on arrival with no extra cost incurred and the food and service in the restaurant and clock tower was fantastic.
The view from our bedroom window could have been better and the toilet flush did not work very well.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful - particuliry in the clock house resteraunt. The hotel had some very good facilities and is in a peaceful location.
The hotel in very old fashoined in parts. The reception area and old dining rooms might be trying to give the impression of a traditional old country house but I just found this to be actually just a bit sort of dark and cold. Arriving at 3.30 pm, an hour and a half after the possible check in time - the rooms were not ready - not particularily good - although the staff were apologetic.
