Loved the staff especially concierges
I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday and everything about sea containers was absolutely amazing! The room was lovely we were in the top floor and we had such a nice view of the Thames. The location itself is great and there’s so much to do around the area. We also visited the 12th knot which again had a lovely view and the drinks were amazing, it was such a nice place to relax and chill out. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I will definitely be visiting again!
The official check-in time is three in the afternoon, but we arrived at about half past eleven in the morning. The friendly receptionist suggested that we had three options; namely, upgrade to a room with a patio for an extra £96, take a room adapted for wheelchair users or leave our bags and check in later. We took the middle option and were very pleased we did. The room was tastefully decorated with plenty of storage and with a well-stocked, if pricey, mini bar. Overall the hotel is very nice indeed with interesting décor reflecting a nautical theme. It’s handy for the Tate Modern, the National Theatre, the South Bank Centre, the Hayward Gallery, the Royal Festival Hall and The Young Vic theatre. There is a good selection of restaurants in the area and the Oxo tower is next door with all its shopping options. It has good transport links with Southwark, Waterloo and Blackfriars stations all within a short walk and it has its own taxi rank.
Fantastic friendly staff, great location and lovely premises
Quiet at night, but in the heart of the south Bank
When you are visiting London, there seems like not enough time to take in all that the city offers. This is why accommodations are important. You need to stay in a place where you can see everything the city has to offer. Whether it is looking at Big Ben or visiting Buckingham Palace – or if you’re a football fan traveling to North London for the North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur – the Mondrian London offers a great location and amenities.
Travelers who stay at the Mondrian London are thrilled with the amenities and location. The rooms are quite comfortable, and many travelers enjoy the view out the window. You can look out the windows and see the River Thames. Inside, the rooms are decorated to reflect the London ethos of being elegant but not too showy. The view is what many people love, when you look across the Thames you’ll see where London was, where it is, and what its future holds.
Dining at the hotel is a treat. The 12th Knot is a rooftop bar offering panoramic views of London. You can enjoy Lyaness as well, which is a bar that offers some of the best cocktails in London. Finally, the Sea Containers restaurant is known for its seasonal menu showcasing local ingredients. If you’re looking for food outside the hotel, there are plenty of options from fish and chips all the way to fine dining.
The Mondrian London is the perfect place for your London vacation to be based from. You can see much of the city just by looking out the windows.
