The staff were very friendly. The location was quiet. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The hotel is quirky at best. You have to access the rooms via an old lift which opens directly to the street. The door of the lift is really heavy. There was only one power point in the room and it was hanging off the wall - didn't seem overly safe. There is an old fashioned heavy key you need to carry around. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was broken and there wasn't a shower per se - rather a bathtub with a spray attachment. The carpet was stained in the corner and very worn. I forgot to order breakfast the night before so it wasn't available. Suppose you are paying a premium for the location, and if you are OK with this, then by all means stay here. It wasn't really suitable for a work trip.
Location, location, location!!
I personally like having tea and coffee making facilities in the room, which they don't have.
Friendly service. Location is excellent.
Needs some maintenance - socket loose, toilet door did not close properly, paint and woodwork scuffed. No shower. The shower curtain was dirty. The shower attachment did not fix to the wall and was too short so could not adequately shower. Shower head old. Water temperature not consistent. Heavy doors on lift, hard to do with bags.
