Pros: View was awesome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, no drama motel and a great Lone Pine restaurant, the Mt. Whitney cafe, just across the street. Also, free ice for filling my road trip chest so not having to stop at one of the roadside marts. Stayed here many times and never an issue.

Cons: location is slightly out of the town
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good sized room, decent breakfast included.
Cons: Not really.
5.0 Okay
Cons: It does not meet the expectation of a comparable 3 star hotel. The building is old and outdated, just a fresh coat of paint to cover walls and carpet on uneven flooring.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were surprised at how nice our room was, lovely bed and set up perfectly. And you really couldn't beat the view, mountains right outside the door! Breakfast was delicious also with lots of options. Ps. parking RIGHT outside the door rocked.
Cons: Two things: One was the bath fan, it started buzzing terribly and was really loud to run. The other was that the AC/Heating unit was blowing RIGHT at the bed so we propped one of our bags in front of it to keep us out of the wind.

Cons: Breakfast room was tiny and crowded. Narrow stairway.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room had a patio and grass just outside so it was perfect for us as we had our two little dogs with us. The breakfast room was clean too.
Cons: Just that you really couldn't walk to any restaurants. And the paving job going on in front of the hotel was a nuisance. (That wasn't the hotels fault though.)

Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Door card was hard to work

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The beds and bedroom were very comfortable and spacious.
Cons: The only real negative was the breakfast - I have a bugbear about recycling and waste and it really offends me to see disposable plates and cutlery without any recycling facilities. The bathroom was also quite “tired”

Pros: Clean
Cons: Poor air conditioning
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lounge adjoining the lobby was very comfortable and well appointed.
Cons: They need a proper bell cart to carry luggage in and out.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Noisy : the AC can’t be turned off, because it’s not individual. It makes a lot of noise in the room. I asked for another room but I would have paid a second time. Not really friendly. The pool is in the middle of the parking. There’s no breakfast Too expensive
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located. Beautiful views of Mt. Whitney. Walking distance to everything in Lone Pine.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It's quaint and full of history.
Cons: Water ran either hot or cold in shower and can't regulate your own air conditioning, it was hot and muggy in the room and not easy to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great customer service, accommodating me when I mentioned that my room was a little loud because of the slamming door (it was directly above the room where the ice machine is). Beautiful place, probably the best place to stay in Lone Pine, especially if you love hotels with a sense of history. Wifi worked well.
5.5 Okay

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and you could not hear outside noise.
Cons: We had some ants in the room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is great in the middle of Lone Pine (which is not very large). There are ample oppertunities for eating near the accomodation.
6.8 Good
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Not really a hostel. More like a 10 bed dormitory with a shared bathroom, tv, and mini-fridge. A hostel should have a common kitchen area to prepare food and socialize with guests. One roommate watched TV all day, from morning to night, keeping several people awake who needed to sleep during the day or early evening because of their schedules. Rooms should be only for sleeping, and possibly showering, which would would force social activity out of the room. Remove the TV. Have a common room for TV viewing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient to our activity, Sierra backpacking, convenient for our large group of 16 Girl Scouts and trip leaders, clean, inexpensive and a cultural experience for the girls as an intro to hostels.
Cons: If I need to say something, I would say I was surprised that the bunk room for our girls (10 in a 12-bunk room) was full of merchandise and had to be made ready. I was also surprised that the room had stir access door, which left me feeling uncomfortable for the girls.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a late arrival and the staff were able to provide the key access code with little delay. We also encountered a few issues with the online booking so I called the mainline and the staff were able to direct me with ease. We had an early start to get to the Mt. Whitney visitor center to get our permits and this location was an easy and affordable stay. Thanks!
Cons: The noises/lights that come with dorm/hostel style living. No complaints though. Normal hostel stuff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Easy booking. Friendly staff. Clean spacious room. Onsite off-road parking. Quiet. Great view.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved having a drink on the verandah and watching the sun go down over the mountains. We were in a private room (opposed to a dorm) - It was clean, spacious and had two comfy queen beds.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and good value for the money. Highly recommend it for outdoor enthusiasts and hikers
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds and great location!
Cons: The AC unit was broken and kept going off and on all night waking us up.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location, right in the center of town and car parking close to our room
Cons: On checking in finding that the four n=bunk room hand’t been made up from the previous occupants. We were moved to another room once this had been pointed out to check in staff, but it was a bit of a poor check in experience. The beds are very basic. A mattress on a piece of hardboard on a bunk bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is just a great place in a wonderful small town. So easy to check in and just good simple accommodations.
Cons: There's nothing to dislike

9.3 Excellent
Pros: 3-bed family room was large and comfortable. Room was clean and what I expected for the price. Reception was positive experience and easy, like the good old days. Wi-Fi was solid w/ easy access. Enjoyed the chance to read about the Buddah from the nightstand drawer.
Cons: The room ac unit was loud to the point that it was difficult to talk amongst ourselves when it was running full. The noise from the ac unit did block out other incidental sound from neighbors or the road. Local restaurants are a quirky mix; when making one choice might go wrong... or right.
6.0 Good
Pros: As expected.
Cons: Limited parking
7.5 Good
Pros: Pool
Cons: Price

7.5 Good
Pros: Clean. Well presented.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were HUGE with 2 king sized beds. there was a refridgerator and microwave as well. The nice young man at check in was a doll, friendly and curtious, I had called ahead to say we would be late and he waited for our arrival. we only stayed one night on the way to mammoth but it was very roomy
Cons: the mattress were hard as a rock. parking was a little tight but no big deal.
7.5 Good
Pros: clean, comfortable, easy in/out
Cons: fan very loud. pricey
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: No breakfast, old 50's style motel. Won't ever stay there again.

Pros: No breakfast, but this isn't the Ritz-Carlton. For a very reasonable cost you have a clean and tidy place to sleep while you do whatever you are doing there (we were visiting Manzanar).
Cons: Toilets could be upgraded to something more modern with an elongated seat.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Basic room in a basic hotel, but the location for hikers is great.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Adequate accommodation for a night's stay
Cons: Although there was a microwave in the room, there was no crockery or cutlery. Because the motel is beside a busy road, noise continues through all hours.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Accessible to Death Valley
Cons: Air conditioning unit is very noisy and didn’t get much sleep.
4.5 Okay
Pros: I liked the location, on the main street in Lone Pine. I also liked being accommodated when arriving just past 1am.
Cons: I didn't like the junkyard look & feel of the property and the bugs in the bathroom and shower.

Cons: There were bugs and cockroaches in the room. The maid did clean the rooms but there is a bug problem. Additionally the pool had a lot of debris floating around in it.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Super nice staff and quick check in.
Cons: The mattresses are really firm.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable, and staff was friendly. Was able to get a nice rest for a long drive the next day. Would stay again!
Cons: Main parking lot is pretty tight, so larger vehicles may encounter a bit of difficulty. Understandable though since it's an older roadside motel with a smaller lot and a pool area to navigate around.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Close to Whitney Portal
Cons: Way overpriced for the room -they are gouging hikers
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent and very friendly. Room was clean. New tv. Easy parking. Convenient location to town.
Cons: The hotel is a bit dated, and the sitting chairs outside should be replaced, but overall it was very good value and a convenient location.

Pros: location
Cons: At 1:00am somebody was trying to get into our room. they said they had our room. I sent them to the office telling them I had the room for two nights.
7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet
Cons: No pen or paper in the room and only on sliver of bar of soap. No shampoo or bottle of conditioner. Packets you could not open without a scissor.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! The folks at this hotel are super friendly and helpful.
Cons: The toilet in my room had a replacement seat and they put a regular seat on an ADA toilet so the seat did not cover the whole bowl. Had to use a towel over the bowl to make it useable.
