Too good Wish could stay longer
The place is beautiful, with a wonderful view on the mountains and coffee plantations. The rooms are cosy with a lot of attention to detail, and many plants and flowers on the property. Meena & Ragu are great hosts. Since the caretaker was on leave Meena took care of us herself, helping us with arranging transport, treks etc. Moreover she baked a delicious chocolate cake upon request as a surprise for my partner's birthday. The food they offer is delicious, plenty of choice from a thali style buffet. And the coffee was great too!
Since you're out in the estate, you're not very mobile if you don't have your own transportation. The next village Napoklu is about 3km away. Apart from that, we had the luxury of staying there by ourselves so had the veranda all to ourselves, but if both rooms are booked you'll be sharing it with your neighbors.
The perfect destination to b at if one wants real peace..I never had such a touchy experience. I feel lucky to have got an oppprrunity to spend two days of my lyf with Mr n Mrs. M.K Kariappa.. Soulful, rooted n very genuine people..They made us feel lyk home..Ashwin, one of there staff treated us too gud..One should definitely pay a visit, I preferred to stay in the heritage bungalow(best decision in of this trip)..Me n my fiance used to wait for the dinner eagerly as it was sooo sumptuous..I wish God give Aunty n Uncle all the strengh, health n vigour so dat each tym we visit them, they r as fit n fine as they r now
It would b a dishonour if I site the flaws coz there were none..
Very good facility. Friendly staff and hosts. Good value for money. Food served in dinner was tasty and sufficient. Breakfast comes part of the package and just sufficient. Hosts put real effort to take care of you. The Heritage stay is really good and would be a good experience for city dwellers. Would love to visit again and stay for more days.
The most amazing place to stay! Beautiful, clean cottage; gorgeous, home-cooked food; warm, friendly and educated hosts with perfect English. Special treats are the pre-breakfast coffee and scheduled tea breaks (with biscuits) during the day. The garden is beautiful and overlooks coffee plantations and the jungle. The quietness at night was amazing for weary city folk! We cannot recommend Blue Mountains enough. It's worth a trip to the Madikeri area for this homestay. Many thanks to our lovely hostess, Meena, her husband and team. Oh - super comfy beds, too.
