Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in in my life. - the location is perfect, on the sand beach of Watamu, far enough from the core city so very calm - the staff is extremely competent and agile. For example, they organized an emergency PCR test taken on site in less than one hour. - the best dinner I had in Africa. The pan fried salmon was worthy of a Michelin restaurant - the hotel itself, its pools, restaurant, rooms and decoration are done in the finest way. It’s tasteful under every aspect.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was spectacular, people hire day trips on a boat to get to see the perfect beach that is right in front. The staff was spectacular, the service, the quality of the food, it's paradise. They helped to arrange everything we needed, from Scuba diving to a Tuk-Tuk to move around, everything at its real price.
Cons: There is 1 improvement which is the way to get there, we were only given the option to hire a taxi from the airport, when we got to the hotel we realized 3 groups arrived on the same flight. Maybe offering consolidation and optimization the transport? I understand it's a logistics hassle, but it's a major benefit for the customers.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beautiful resort in a great place.
Cons: For me big minus was lack of mosquito nets. Maybe there were no mosquitoes this time, but I could not know. Also, staff at the restaurant managed to mix up my orders twice. Finally, towels were quite worn down. Not something an expensive hotel can afford...
Excellent 9.0
Pros: breakfast was nice; some of the staff got a bit confused about only ordering eggs (instead of also accompanied w/sausages etc). Juice was very fresh. Nice touch having cold water (cucumber and lemon); also good touch to give the guests their own water pitcher to fill up - avoids going back and forth to the buffet and maintains social distancing. Room was very comfortable and clean with a nice sitting out area to enjoy the fresh air.
Cons: floor was a bit slippery when wet in the room!
Good 7.0
Pros: Small and quiet resort. The size of the room and the terrace. New building, nice decorated and very clean. Beautiful swimming pool. The lovely restaurant for the lunch, feets in the sand. The situation, direct acess to the beach.
Cons: The noise of the air conditioning in the rooms! We didn’t sleep well ... Too hot to turn it off. The choice at the breakfast is quite low. Food is ok but could be improved.
Excellent 8.4
I have nothing negative to say about this lovely place. Everything was perfect except the wifi in the rooms. No wifi in the rooms. The rooms are so specious! The staff are friendly. The food is very tasty. Hotel is very clean too. Will be back soon.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and attentive. The food was also great and I can especially recommend the passionfruit caprioshka. Pool and public areas were immaculate. And the cost including breakfast was a great value.
Cons: This is not specific to Kobe but if you’re a person who absolutely must lay on the beach this is not allowed because it is protected. Also it’s full of “beach boys” who try to sell you stuff and can be agressive. But Kobe has a beachy area a bit of then ways back with a nice view and cypress trees where you can enjoy the sun - and also 2 saltwater pools. And you can also swim in the ocean as well.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Clean, felt safe, staff were available but unobtrusive.
Cons: There was not wirting desk or work desk in the room or on the veranda. This is a significant disappointment for those of us who stay there and need to work.
Excellent 9.2
Beautiful old Swahili style
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing neo-colonial interior design, full of curiosities and distinctive elegance. The place is perfect for a quiet getaway, due to its secluded location.
Cons: It is quite strange that, like all the other resorts in Malindi and Watamu, the restaurant does not offer any African dish, limiting the menu to Italian food.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved the african designed interior and the friendly stuff.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The calming and relaxing environment. The host was lovely, Mombasa the waiter was very exceptional very warm, welcoming and hardworking fella. Beach is nearby a short walk or 2minutes on a tuk tuk..massive value for money. Would love to return.
Cons: Could do with more channels on the tv..just in case....
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The facility was awesome
Cons: Great. Was a great place. Improve on service person only....The owner was Greeeaattt!! The place was Awesome
Good 7.0
Pros: The staff were amazing, Frederick and Gladys went out of their way to cheerfully accommodate our various requests. Stephen also allowed us early check in
Cons: Same food daily for breakfast. Only one local channel on TV. WiFi was very weak in the rooms.
Good 6.0
Cons: A lot of dust and old smelling furniture
Good 7.0
Cons: There were very few staff members on duty. One man was doing almost everything.
Excellent 8.5
The Hotel was amazing, I had visited it for a vacation with my family and for sure it did not disappoint me. First of all the hotel is very affordable considering the facilities they have to offer. The facilities that i loved the most is the free WIFI and the swimming pool which were inclusive in the accommodation fee. It is also very clean and located at a very serene place. The workers could try and be friendly. By this i mean they should to say hello before asking for the something.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Almost don't want to give a positive review as I want it to be available when I want to book. Extremely lovely.
Cons: Wireless does not extend to the rooms.

Good 6.0
Pros: Nice boutique hotel on a kind of an peninsula. Equipment top with a very tasty view for every detail (lamps, game photos on the walls, cushions, daybeds ...). Private small beach and a lot of privacy.
Cons: Had the impression that the staff all in all needed more and better training to fulfill demands on a 5 star hotel. But people on the other hand tried hard and often succeeded to make things happen.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: very good food and friendly staff
Cons: no access to the water at the hotel beach
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything!! Amazing service, food and accomodation!! We will definitely return . One night was too short
Cons: Nothing
Poor 1.0
Pros: This property looks fabulous and extra to stay there compared to alternatives in Malindi
Cons: The government of Kenya imposed a travel ban to Malindi just before my trip. The hotel refused a refund, although this is standard practice for most hotels around the world during the covid crisis. I was given a voucher but I cannot use it before it expires as I cannot visit Kenya again this summer even if travel restrictions are lifted. The hotel refused to extend the voucher validity, s
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The villa was clean and neat, bar attendant and the waiters at the restaurant were amazing. Most of the staff were friendly and the villa was beautiful. The privacy is top notch.
Cons: The receptionist (female who was present on Thursday 04 morning. 03.2021) was rude/too much attitude . I would have mentioned the name but let me not do it .
Good 6.0
Pros: Overall good! Good restaurant, good pools.
Cons: The whole hotel didn’t had that many people but I was put on a room sharing a villa with this loud Russian couple. In Covid times I would think sharing is not the best idea even more when you see the hotel empty.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: The place îs Goia, The staff îs friendly and helpful. Common areas are beautiful. Food and cocktails were also good. Special thanks for the George from the room service and Birya - garden keeper.
Cons: It is impossible to swim because of seaweed. But the beach is good and you can swim in the swiming pool. Security measures were also on a high level. The room looks not like the photos on booking.con, but it was ok. Other problem - there are a lot of mosquitoes there, other hotels were we’ve been arranged this problem. We were afraid yo be byted by malaria mosquito. It spoiled our experience.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I've been to Malindi 4 times. It was best hotel experience. Staff are very kind and well trained. I felt hospitality so much. Hotel is just on beach. Pool is very clean.
Cons: Food was just OK. Nothing wow, I do not recommend full board. highly recommend explore other italian restaurant in Malindi.
Good 7.0
Pros: Good
Cons: Add more vegetarian menu
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Cleanliness, spacious, comfortable, nice bathroom toiletries
Cons: Very slow checkin process Poor communication by staff.
Good 7.0
Pros: The breakfast was lovely and the village grounds are BEAUTIFUL. The staff (minus the issue we had when initially checking in) is SO NICE!! Everyone greets you and is super helpful. The fact that the hotel is beach side is a plus!! Beautiful views of the ocean, beautiful beach
Cons: The room we stayed in felt a bit old, rust under the bathroom sink, towels very thin, holes in the mosquito nets, the air conditioner didn't really keep the room cool. I believe the rooms could use an upgrade. Also when calling the front desk, it takes a while for them to fulfill your request (getting new towels, bath soap refill took longer than expected) Also when we first got there, there was an issue with our Booking.com confirmation...they couldn't find it on there side. The woman handling the issue at the hotel didn't apologize for the issue, which felt like a missed customer service opportunity...it felt as if we were in the wrong as customers.
Okay 4.0
Pros: The location
Cons: The junior suite was extremely disappointing and no where near the photos on the site
Okay 4.0
Pros: Room was clean and big
Cons: 1. The welcome I got on arrival was not good as the reception staff disputed my booking.. they said it was different from the copy they had...my deal was bed, breakfast and dinner.. they said their copy was for bed and breakfast only..and check-in took too long. They finally accepted my booking but I had to email them a copy. 2. No water in room on arrival and very poor WiFi
Good 6.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: They are con men
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beautiful destination, great customer service, cosy spacious rooms, delicious cocktails
Cons: The food options in the buffet were limited and a bit repetitive but the food was delicious.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: THE BEST FOOD ON THE COAST BY FAR

Good 6.0
Pros: The staff were attentive and polite. I especially liked Ali who provided room service. The rustic furnishings, views and sound of the ocean Privacy of the room
Cons: The hotel is in need of maintenance. Old furniture was strewn over the garden on view of the guests. Other items that need fixing: the shower head Some bulbs in the light fixtures were blown Shower area is really tiny and would benefit from tiling on the floor The makuti over the balcony was old and mouldy and needs replacing
Poor 1.0
Pros: food was terrible , still my stomach is not good
Cons: location is good
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The water sports
Cons: The food could be better and a bigger variety
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Large variety of activities available for the timid or adventurous. Great observation of COVID protocols
Good 7.0
Pros: The adult pool was great, for people without kids it was really relaxing. The gardens on the property are stunning with fantastic palm trees and local flowers, fish, birds and little lizards everywhere. The view over the sea is lovely as well with an area to sit and have a drink while looking at the sea (although service here took very long). The rooms were clean although basic and staff were mostly friendly and helpful. They have a dive centre on site which was fantastic. Tina and Harry were great and it was very well organised, I enjoyed the diving a lot.
Cons: We had the all inclusive package but I think there could have been more drinks included. Local beer like Tusker wasn't included which I found strange. The staff were usually friendly and helpful but could be slow at times. Since we paid for all inclusive but my boyfriend was out fishing all day, we asked for a take away breakfast and lunch for him and that was really hard to organise, he was given plain bread rolls in a box for one breakfast. This hotel isn't cheap but its a little run down and there could be more variety food and drink wise for what you pay. If you go for a walk on the beach there were a lot of people trying to sell you things and trying to get you to go on tours. I was by myself and found this really stressful, I couldn't relax on my walk at all and ended up back by the pool.
Good 7.0
Cons: The food variety.
Excellent 8.2
The check in form was in Italian with English underneath.the food was Italian. The entertainment was in Italian and we were greeted in Italian. The beach is nice but has a lot of beach boys, although they are not allowed up to the hotel. The room was nice and modern. I didn't even see one mosquito.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely a step away from the sea, very helpful and friendly staff, good food, clean rooms. Love the shower!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very stylish and nicely decorated common area. All areas very clean and quiet. Nice pool and exceptional good restaurant located on the beautiful beach.
Cons: unfortunately the staff was limited (Covid 19) and therefore the service not always as quick.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Night Quizes and the fact that every night there's always an activity.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The lodge is located in front of the beach, you can hear the sounds of the ocean from any spot. Amazing. The food was good and the staff was incredible.
Cons: I think working on the toilets and the room furniture could give help refreshing the look of them. The lodge is very cool as it is, but some beutification works would hurt.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great location right on the beach, I really enjoyed my stay at Kilili resort; the manager Mary was very accommodating and the staff went out of the its way to assist us. The spa and the swimming pool is absolutely gorgeous, I swam after dark & looking up the dark blue sky and the twinkly stars it was absolutely magical almost like a dream. During the four week stay I had in Malindi I tried different resorts and I found this one to be the best resort.
Cons: The bed needs updating
Okay 5.8
Pros: Rooms are not value for money
Cons: Rooms not perfect
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: My visitor had to pay $5 for a “facility entry” - makes no sense at all! Ok
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Staff is friendly, helpful
Cons: Seems the room could have been better prepared before guest arrival particularly to refresh the air
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The rooms are big, well maintained & very clean. Staff are very friendly & helpful. The hotel is beachfront so the view over looking the ocean is breathtaking.
Cons: More options in the breakfast spread.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff are very friendly and understanding. Hassan at the restaurant was excellent, joyful and more than ready to assist. The beach is amazing. The Swahili architecture, the pools, and the spa were amazing. Would love to be hosted there again.
Cons: The safe box in the rooms were small. It would be nice to have bigger ones. The signage to the spa and the restaurant can be put up at a place where a guest can easily see them.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: The place was cozy tranquil and the staff were very friendly . The place was as per the photos
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice accommodation, willing stuff, the resort is located in quiet place with nice garden for relaxation.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The beach, the food, the pool, the owner, the staff
Cons: That we didn't stay longer
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: not much
Cons: it said beach was close it wasn,t ,the beach restaurant said need over an hour to cook a chicken, internet didn,t work in the room ...had to drive off road at night to go out to dinner ....none of this was on the booking .com description and supposed to be 4 star no way was it 4 star
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The beds were spacious enough
Cons: Not near the beach, pathetic breakfast
Good 6.7
Pros: Breakfast..Average. Location..Poor. Off Tarmac ..and 3Kms from their Beach. It's a lonely place.
Cons: Room Facilities Face Lift. A Cleaner Pool. Variety in B/Fast.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Clean and private.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: My brother and I enjoyed the peace and quiet the resort provided. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the rooms were kept clean not to mention how spacious it was especially at the lounge area outside each room, it offered privacy for each guest. Loved the evening performance from the local talents. The fan and AC helped in maintaining comfort in the rooms as malindi gets quite hot.
Cons: The evening buffet was underwhelming as it lacked variety, the food available was however delicious. The kitchen needs to be a bit more organized though, on two occasions we went to have our meal and found some menu items depleted, which meant they didn't account for all guests or under budgeted for it.

Good 7.0
Pros: - two pools with nice music - options for activities (beach volley, ping pong, gym) - beautiful balcony with garden view and decoration touches - very clean rooms
Cons: As many other guests have mentioned, it feels it’s impacted by Covid and the service seems rough at the edges. No welcome tour, we didn’t know where is what. Confusing menu, they were changing menus when we were there. We were presented with a menu with no prices. Low quality breakfast, they are serving spam(!) Garden not groomed. No access to beach, not sure if this is evident by the listing It was almost empty when we stayed so maybe things will get better when back to normal capacity. I would advise them to close part of the resort (it’s huge) and focus on services for the rest.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved everything, the hotel, the food was delicious and that chocolate cake we had !!! Won’t be forgetting that for a while. The service was amazing, kudos to all the staff they really know how to make the guests feel special. The room was beautiful. Perfect for couples and families. Definitely going back !
Cons: Only downside was the rain, which brought mosquitoes but the staff was quick to take care of that situation.

Pros: The resort was so scenic providing such a relaxed ambience. Very spacious and well appointed rooms with spacious and clean amenities. TVs in the room are still a working progress but the team set up big screen projector where we watched the Euro 2021. The awesome part of my stay was the Staff: the manager an amazing guy ! And the breakfast restaurant’s team from the supervisor: always friendly Kevin and his team —kwicha, Juma as well as the polite house cleaning lady Lisa & attentive gatemen and night security guard kai & Isa —-the pool attendant -were all but friendly and professional who were so helpful in meeting all my requests from the champagne brought to my room to extending my checkout because my flight was later in the day. Bathroom amenities were top notch - shampoo, and liquid soap, etc. Another aspect that was impressive are: staff following Covid 19 guidelines which made me feel comfortable particularly when serving their fresh healthy breakfast, nice room with air condition and fan. Big veranda with partial sea view. I may add the Lichthaus - small floating area surrounded by water for a amazing drinks and nibbles while watching stunning view of the sun downing! The Resort is under a new management with such incredible new approach that priorities customer care, particularly the provision of Clarity of info, client -Manegement ease of communication. The experience at the resort exceeded or even outmatched what I was expecting! great Value for the money !
Cons: The gym lacked new amenities and I understand fixing the room TVs are in progress
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel was clean with good services
Good 7.0
Cons: One manager (shortish , pumped , African guy) rude as hell 👎 also they have too many managers. Taught the bar men how to make a porn star martini. They followed instructions and made it perfectly. The stuff are great. There’s no hot water in room 6A
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Perfect location, big area with nice garden, cool dive school, wonderful little houses to stay at, lichthaus bar is perfect for a nice evening in a chilled atmosphere, we got a free upgrade to a wonderful delux room !!!
Cons: They did not serve many things at the restaurant, I think because there is not emigrated guests yet to run at full capacity
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Amazing beach. Sea was 28c and best I ever bathed in. Nice friendly staff. Very relaxing.
Cons: The food could be better. Wifi wasnt working in the rooms but is due to be installed because of change in management. One night water wasnt working for 5 hours.

Excellent 8.0
Cons: Doesn’t have a good view
Excellent 9.6
Great hotel with use of all 3 properties if you book Diamonds Dreams. Food is a bit on the high side, but quality and taste is good. Room staff is amazing. Need more club activities at the theater.
Excellent 9.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Well organized and very clean
Good 7.0
Cons: The linen and cushions/ pillows of seats in common areas were not clean. Replacing or attention to cleaning needed.
Good 7.4
Pros: I really enjoyed our stay. However, having also visited resort south ( Diani), I found the beach left a lot to be desired. The resort is a good place to stay if your are interested in just the resort and doing nothing else. If you want to spend more time on the beach or I. The ocean, I would go somewhere else.

Good 7.0
Pros: Bed size, location and cleaness.
Cons: Millipedes coming from the toilets.
Good 7.5
Pros: The entire hotel ambiance, very green, many swimming pools and big comfortable rooms and ever smiling staff with an attentive chef.
Cons: All was well from rooms to dining and very nice and pocket friendly beach bar!!! Meals quite good though breakfast had very few choosing items.
Mediocre 2.5
Pros: The swimming pool was clean, the receptionists were very kind, silent nights, the staff were supportive and hygiene of room was to our satisfaction
Cons: The food was very poorly done, no varieties, no enough quantity to cover all their guests. The dinner on 25th was late with almost 1hr. No enough milk at breakfast for both days. I reported my disappointment to their Managing Director.
Good 7.9
Pros: Beautiful shaded pool area
Cons: Standard of breakfast very poor for 4 star resort
Good 7.9
Pros: Beautiful location with simple but tastefully furnished rooms, magnificent gardens, swimming pools etc. Just a short walk to the beach with pleasant bar/ restaurant perched over the beachfront. Excellent pizza and well priced drinks.
Cons: Food at the main hotel restaurant was disappointing 5% charge on debit/ credit cards was annoying
Good 6.7
Pros: Big comfortable bed Beautiful location Good shower power Lovely staff
Cons: Very poor meal choices Rooms are quite small and dark especially at night so more lights needed Food is expensive for what you get Towels could be bigger Bottled water in the room should not be put in the bathroom Nothing in the fridge Poor TV choices
Okay 5.4
Pros: The location is fantastic and easily accessible while in Malindi.
Cons: Several things... The food. There wasn’t a variety. You literally had to struggle making what to eat especially for my young children. The facility also charges a 5% transaction cost on all transactions made on any type of card. It was extortion considering they indicated many types of cards are acceptable at the facility. The staff was unwilling to negotiate on the transaction cost. The manager was unapproachable. We paid eventually the 5% even after confirming from their POS provider, Equity that there are no transactional charges. The management had changed. This was a return visit after I was impressed by the old management, in my last visit. I will of course NOT be going back.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: I was impressed by how Lily Palm helped to adjust my booking and everyone was so friendly. Armando if am not wrong was so welcoming. The views were amazing from the restaurant
Cons: Well I loved everything except maybe the food bit which was good but a bit lacking in terms of variety especially at dinner and maybe add whisky or beer for those of us who aren't so big on taking wine
Good 7.0
Pros: Air conditioned room. Clean but dated. Fairly big, impersonal resort so ok if you like that sort of thing. A couple of bars playing different techno music so not a place for rest and relaxation. Situated on the beach and you can walk to the islands in low tide but not really good for swimming. Dinner in the resort restaurant was good. They did provide an early packed breakfast as we had to leave early for safari.
Cons: A bit too big and impersonal so reflected in the service.
Good 6.7
Pros: Location
Cons: Problems with check-in; noisy staff and smoking neighbours
Okay 5.0
Pros: Gym was ok
Cons: Service was poor. Also quality of the food and at the rooms ac and fan didn't work properly. We complained about it and somebody came to check them, but didn't fixed.
Good 7.0
Pros: Very clean swimming pool
Cons: The fruits selection was not good
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: The location is all right. The travel desk is good.
Cons: The moment you enter you get this impression that the place is rundown n past its prime. Its a place that carers to mainly Italians ( No issues with that) who have come fr the sun n a tan and a cheap place to stay for a number if days. The breakfast and dinner is functional at the very best n catering to Italian tastes entirely. For the charges that they take they can make small things availables like soaps towels water tea maker at least which are a standard everywhere now. We were there for deep sea fishing n needed a packed breakfast n despite reminding them everyday after dinner for the same somehow it was not to be and there was a last minute scramble in the morning and then it was rush job. With the property they have i am sure if they can make small changes to the upkeep house keeping n small conveniences like the ones mentioned it will be a much better place.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Value for money. Good aircon, bed and clean sheets.
Cons: Staff were aggressive and unhelpful. The bathroom was in poor condition and many elements were broken (sink, tap and mirror)
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Staff ok. Quiet. Lively
Cons: No parking. BIG MINUS. Pictures on your site not realistic. Dark entrance and in need of revamp. Actually wanted to cancel the booking but was not able according to your policy.
Okay 5.1
Pros: Reception staff, cleaning staff, views, beach access.
Cons: Roaches in room!, old mattress with no pad and thin sheet (which effectively means that you're sleeping with everyone who stayed before you), restaurant food quality mediocre but at 20 euros for dinner-overpriced for quality, restaurant and entertainment staff are constantly in your face and disingenuously so. This is a two-and a half star (tourist class) hotel by international and Kenyan standards.
