Amanda and her staff were wonderful. They went above and beyond. Great breakfast, nice bungalows to sleep in too. I highly recommend this venue.
The place is a little paradise in the middle of Mancora. We enjoyed our stay so much! We will be back for sure.
Beautiful gardens, cafe, pool, located off the road so nice and quiet. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.
Wish the room was air conditioned. I got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Standing water in the bathroom because the shower flooded (hence, more mosquitoes)
The staff was great and very friendly. The location was great as well since it wasn't in the middle of the craziness, but you are on a walking distance to all the main attractions and restaurants. The pool was nice, even though they didn't have pool towels, so if you're traveling light that's gonna be a problem. The vegetation of the place was amazing and it feels pretty much like staying on any part of the south East Asia, even the decoration is very Asia oriented, which is pretty cool. The bed was very nice but it said it was supposed to be a King size bed and it wasn't, it was a queen. We got the fancier room and it got a tv and ventilator, you don't need AC for the night since it gets quite chill but sometimes it was hot.
The breakfast was very limited, and it repeated a lot. You don't have many options to choose from so don't expect an amazing breakfast. Another huge problem we had was that there were bed bugs :( which is a major concern, or at least it should be. We told the hotel guys and they fumigated our mattress the roof and some parts of the bathroom. The smell was really strong and even though they ventilated the place it still smelled by night, hope it wasn't toxic. The most sad part of it was that even they fumigated the bed bugs continued to bite, and my wife had to start with antibiotics, sleep with pretty strong bugs repellent and use an antibiotic cream. The bites were all over her legs, arms, hands and even back, it was like skin blisters. The hotel guys didn't even bother to ask how she was doing or do anything other than sending the guy to fumigate. It was a very very uncomfortable situation since it was matter of health issues and there is a way to control this type of things if you have a rigorous control of pests every now and then. We understand this things could be common on the beach do to the weather, but there are no excuses on having rigorous control on this type of pests that could be really harmful to anyones health. Apart from that (severe) issue the rest was excellent. Even the staff and housekeeping guys were really concern about this incident, but apart from that there was not much made to make it up, not even an offer to move o other room since they were completely booked. Another thing they can make it better is the bathroom, especially the shower since there was hot water, but it was boiling water. And the pressure of the cold water was minimum so you have to shower on hot (really hot) water every time, since the cold water pressure was so weak it was imposible to open only that one, and to have more pressure you got to open the (boiling) tap.
Relaxing getaway - the pool and facilities were beautiful!! Breakfast included fruit salad, juice, eggs and bread - included! Friendly staff and quiet at night :)
