Pros (+) I like the pool area was clean. The staff was friendly. The shower water pressure was strong! The room decor was cute without being over the top. The bed and pillows were comfy. The location was great, walkable to beach and restaurants.
Cons (-) I would have liked some coffee in my room. There was a coffee maker and filters, but no coffee! I also wish there were beach towels in the room, I could not find any.

Pros (+) CHAMP! The team members were those friendly surfer dudes. You wanna authentic SoCAL experience, go to this hotel. You are going to get it. The walk-cross-street to many good restaurants, and a beach that is rightfully down the street make it even better. A strong recommendation!
