Nothing
My family and I usually stay in a cheap hotel because we are only in the room for a few hours over night to catch some sleep while on the road, but this time we decided to spend a little extra and stay at a LaQuinta because we have had a great experience at other locations. This hotel couldn't have been more of a disappointment or a waste of money. We could see light around the door into the hall which equates to hearing everything. The toilet was loose on the floor and wobbled when I sat on it and clogged the first time it was used. The carpet was so dirty that my children's soles of their feet turned black after being barefoot in the room for less than an hour. All of the carpet in the hotel was disgusting. Everything was out of date and in disrepair. My wife and children were locked outside because an access card is required from the outdoor pool area back into the halls and there are tall iron fences and no phone to call for help so they were stuck outside for almost an hour. Our room was so noisy that we could hear every sink, toilet, shower, cough, laugh, and every other sound all night long, including the room air conditioner that squealed like it was being murdered every time the fan slowed to a stop. The icing on the cake was the young man who checked me out. All I wanted to do was pay cash and he had to get a manager to figure out how to do that. Once they figured it out, it turned out they needed to open the safe to break a $100 bill and the time delay safe had me standing there for what felt like an eternity. Finally, this same young man had to search around on the computer for the calculator app so he could figure out my $27.25 in change. I left shaking my head and I haven't stopped since. We had a night scheduled for the return trip, but we will be cancelling that for sure! Stay away from this dump, it was literally the worst hotel in which I have ever stayed!
just ok, not great
Beds were super comfy. Continental breakfast was really good. The customer service was great, very friendly front desk. The poll was open until 11, which our kids loved!
The shower was filthy and there was blood on the blanket of our bed. The main hallway carpet was disgusting.
close to family we were viviting
