The breakfast was AMAZING, thank you! Staff were all friendly and professional.
There was nothing that we didn't like.
The staff bent over backwards to make my wife’s trip away so relaxing. Worth every penny.
Peter and his staff were amazing, the service was outstanding, and the food at the Long Apron was to die for, even the breakfast was amazing. We had a fantastic experience.
It was all good.
Beautiful grounds and the staff seemed very friendly and professional
For the price of the venue, it did not meet expectations at all. Especially because the Foxtel was out, and our mini bar food had already been opened by previous guests and left to go bad. We also got overcharged for food we ordered at the restaurant which we had to correct upon checkout.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this French provincial themed spa resort. It’s five star all the way, with stunning views, relaxed country decor and exceptional service....(very exceptional service). The resort is ideal for couples wanting a relaxing, romantic, quiet (child free) escape in the country. We stayed in the 2nd week of January and the weather was fantastic, usually 27-28 degrees with a refreshing breeze blowing in the afternoons. The staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Rooms one and two I know had excellent views over the well kept gardens and distant mountains. The resort is just off the main road that leads to Montville village. A charming little shopping area with lots of cafes etc. We also enjoyed dining on site at the fine dining restaurant ‘Long Apron’. Not to be missed was their entree of duck in creamy butter sauce and or the Burramundi cooked to perfection with matching wines. The resort also has a good size large private swimming pool, which is ideal for sunbathing, swimming and reading. There are some lovely cushioned chairs to read in the shade by the pool and by the library bungalow. If you are into yoga in the morning, we found a great spot in the shade opposite the library area. We also discovered a lovely outdoor bungalow over looking Lake Baroon on the northern end of the property. To get there on foot was steady steep downhill 10 minute stroll to reach the large wooden covered deck, outdoor tables (for more than a dozen guests) boxed candles, rugs and even toilet facilities. If you wish the staff can also transport you via the hotel buggy. In summary, if you want somewhere intimate, memorable and relaxing, with high quality food and wines and exceptional service this is a great choice. They are currently building more accommodation on the property and you can even book a self contained house with everything you could need.
Others might but we didn’t really mind the fact that Rooms 1-4 access necessitated is walking via the outdoor restaurant and interior lounge rooms (frequented with other guests or visitors) to reach a set of stairs up to the rooms.
