Pros: Friendly host, spacious room, warm welcome with biscuits, delicious breakfast and private parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful room with heaps of character and quality. We had our take away meal on the balcony in our own private garden and enjoyed a visit from the cats. Great coffee, tea and welcoming treats were provided, (something gluten free for the celiac in our party) even crystal glasses. Décor was delightful and the bed and pillows very comfortable and we made use of the fridge and iron. Breakfast in a beautifully decorated room was delicious. Our hostess was helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Cons: We were a little far out of town, but that was my fault for not understanding Napier well enough.

Pros: Everything is top class. Friendly staff, very helpful and great knowledge of the area. Fantastic!
Cons: There is nothing negative in the slightest.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was extremely comfortable and well set up
7.0 Good
Cons: The initial greeting because we were too early for check-in was a bit terse. Other wise staff was helpful
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was fantastic, the bed was comfy and everything was very clean.
Cons: I like to check in at 2pm on the dot but wasn't able to check in till 2:15pm, I get to all my destinations 10 minutes early so I have time to organize myself but was asked to go down the road for 20minutes hence the 2:15pm check in, i was so hot and sweaty already I just wanted to sort my stuff out in my car and check in at 2pm. The parking is just a joke. The spa pool was aloud to be used from 7:30 am - 10pm everyday but my Jets were purposely switched off so no morning spa for me which I just hated. I respected the place and room and the rules but the spa Jets were still not turned on. When checking out I almost ended up in a argument with the manager because of a late night call I felt like I was discriminated. The old man there needs to retire. I was a full paying guest just like everyone else and I'm aloud to have a complaint or two about some services but they were dealt with poorly, I felt like I was in the wrong. Anyway, when I booked and paid for my studio with a spa, I expected to be able to check in at 2pm on the dot, park outside my room, and be able to use the spa when I wanted within the giving times that was allocated. I didn't find the staff friendly at all.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, spacious and comfortable room, motel well located just next to the beach, and at walking distance from the center of the town, internet connection was OK.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean, great room and view
Cons: Were made to feel very unwelcome as I had a debit card not a credit card, and even though I’d already paid, was made to feel like I had to find somewhere else to stay. I was told about 5x that I needed a credit card, even though I’d stated each time I didn’t have one, because those are the rules. Accused of not being able to read, and making stuff up. Felt like they only let me stay because this treatment brought me to tears. Was told that because of my reaction ( not getting aggressive) that I could stay after all. It worked out okay in the end, but I hate being made to feel so unwelcome in my own country. There are other ways of staying things that are not rude.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the stay beds nice and room nice.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was superb, with great views of the sea from our room. The room was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The shampoo was made in New Zealand, which was great, and seemed great quality. They also had a variety of teas.
Cons: Our check in experience was poor - there was no one at front counter when we arrived (even though we'd specified in our booking when we would be arriving). We had to find our way to the restaurant (and haul our luggage with us, which isn't something you want to do when you've been driving for 3 hours!) to find a staff member, which was no mean feat, and then were promptly asked to return (with all our luggage) to reception! The room was not well soundproofed. There was a party going on somewhere near the hotel, and we could hear the music from the party in our hotel room until after midnight. We were woken up by other guests in the morning, as we could hear sound from the other rooms when doors were opened and closed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Location was lovely.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was a surprise. A good one. We loved the historic precinct in which the hotel was located. Our room was contemporary, chic and well-appointed. The bed was especially comfortable. And we loved that you could walk out our big glass doors to grass and the boardwalk and sea beyond. The staff were friendly and helpful with advice on what to do and where to go.
Cons: In terms of location and links to the town's CBD, the hotel is pretty remote. We walked for 45 minutes around the port in a freezing head-wind to get to the main drag. It was interesting, however. But taking a taxi back again seemed the best option. We had dinner in the bar/restaurant and found it lacking. It has a very casual ambiance and attitude though the food was enjoyable, the beers welcome.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: Room was set up as a twin on arrival after booking a double but was offered complimentary drink in the bar while they sorted it out.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: we were staying in room 12 and the air con was not working at night, whether it was on a cycle or on a timer, my daughter found it quite hot .
7.0 Good
Pros: Good value and nicely presented. They gave us what we wanted. Thought tea and coffee should be included in price or given the option
Cons: NOthing really, all was good

7.1 Good
Cons: Poor choice of breakfast
7.9 Good
Pros: Location and grandeur of the house.
Cons: View only good from the bathroom, the other window looked out on the roof. The bathroom needed a curtain or something: the view was clear and we felt vulnerable as we felt we could easily be seen. The toilet had a problem with flushing often getting stuck. The shower head was loose, therefore not staying up. Given the price of the accommodation a few more extra touches would have been good e.g. magazines in the room, biscuits or similar snack in the room. We were disappointed in the breakfast which offered little choice: again for the price we were expecting something grander including a cooked option. I was allergic to one of the ingredients in the granola and there was no other option to replace it, making breakfast unimpressive with only toast and a couple of spreads.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was incredible, the hosts (Ann Charlotte and Anna) were amazing, so kind and very relaxed. We can’t wait to come back, felt like home.
Cons: NOTHING
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful friendly staff supporting you in old manor house. Rooms are good size, airy and light with high ceilings and access to covered porch with seating. Cons: Although nicely presented, very disappointing breakfast.Only egg available is a boiled one coming directly from the .fridge.Apparently the days when the chef is not available nobody can cook eggs or bacon. Pros: Great view from the balcony.
Cons: It was somewhat further from the centre than indicated. When I asked about the time to walk to the Art Deco Trust for a tour we'd booked I was told 5 minutes - it actually took closer to 15 - fortunately we set out a little early. Our room was on the second floor accessed by an outdoor staircase (no lift) which could be a problem for someone with mobility issues.

7.0 Good
Pros: Great breakfast
Cons: It was expensive compared to other places in New Zealand
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and located right across the road from the beach. Our room was adequate and comfortable, with a large bathroom. Meals at the Emporium eatery downstairs are to die for!
Cons: Our hotel room was quite small compared to others we had stayed in, and there seemed to be a lot of mosquitoes that entered the room in the evening despite our attempts to close all the windows!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Our room was over Rose Inn- two nights very noisy. Not great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location at the hub of the Art Deco quarter in Napier and handy for wine tours. The Emporium Restaurant was good quality and the lounge was a peaceful place to eat. By contrast the Rose pub had decent live music on Sunday evening and a good pub vibe.
Cons: They need a proter - we arrived with two large suitcases and a bag of golf clubs to face several steps into the hotel, As my shoulder was suffering following several hours driving, lifting the cases up the stairs was a challenge! Otherwise it was a reasonable experience, despite a high price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely Art Deco hotel, good cocktail bar, nice rooms
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpfull staff!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Worth making sure that you have direct access to the Marine Parade roof terrace, that + the coziness of Jean Batten Suite + the excellent food from the restaurant and room service just made our holiday perfect <3 Also lovely to watch all the art deco & vintage buzz on the streets, this is right in the centre of it. Lovely!
Cons: Nothing really, we loved this place!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Doh I left my phone and iPad chargers behind ring the hotel absolutely no problems couriered within 24 hours
7.1 Good
Pros: Liked the location rooms were nice size and bright and that view of the beach was lovely.
Cons: Bathrooms could do with a better clean and the room entrance and exit door needs to be looked at as everytime you had to shut the door you had to slam it to make it shut so everyone in the hotel shut their door it echoed down the hallway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went that extra mile to please. The ambiance, views and room were above our expectations. The food was great and good value for money.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was ok
Cons: The bed not very comfortable it was quite hard. No utensils or cups in the room to use. Not much information available about Napier or what facilities were available at the hotel. We initially booked through booking.com and was charged for 4 adults instead of 2 adults and 2 children who were 1 and a half yrs old and 5 yrs old. We had to pay an extra $100! Which is not very good and daylight robbery!

Cons: Nothing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed my stay at the Nautilus. All the staff were charming. Our room was large with a spa bath. However, if you are disabled , make sure you let the hotel know. We were on the third floor-there was a lift but for luggage only. Being fit and healthy, we had no problems. The laundry was clean and inexpensive.
Cons: A lift for second and third floor patrons would great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location on seafront is excellent. We ate at the Indonesian 50m away which was first class. Nautilus gave us an upgrade room overlooking the sea which was very nice with a balcony. Pity it was pouring with rain all evening..!
Cons: Check in guy was a bit disinterested and we had a phone call at 9.30am asking us when we were checking out. Come on, we're on vacation.!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff and rooms overlooking beach.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked everything, especially the location, to be able to sit out on the balcony morning and evening was relaxing. Receptionist was very polite, friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff were cheerful and friendly and efficient.
Cons: Can't really say there was anything I didn't like, we used the kitchen a little and our apartment could have done with a new frying pan, but in the whole sum of things this was very minor and I'm sure if I'd asked we would have got one.
