Camiluz was a nice stay. The wifi was surprisingly strong. The HOT water always worked. The hostal was about 10-15 minutes walk from the bus terminal so we walked there when we arrived, and planned on walking when we left BUT Fernando insisted on giving us a ride, thanks
The owner came to fetch us at the bus station for free and let us do checkout late and stay in the hostel until we wanted!
The host was a bit too pushy offering is service as city guide. The Nazca lines tour was worth it, the catacombs maybe less.
Very homey hostal, built as a large extension of the owners' home. Well designed, beautifully landscaped and art-filled common areas. Our quiet double room with private bathroom was clean and spacious and included a refrigerator and a large exterior window (rarer than you might think in low price hotels), $27/night in January. Breakfast was much better than typical for that price range and included eggs, homemade preserves, seconds of fresh juice, and more. Secure parking was also included. Above all, the atmosphere was very friendly. Some English spoken.
Very kind and helpful staff! Clean and cosy
Some of the furnishings look dated and could be upgraded
The room was very spacious. A short walk to the main square.
The buzz-in system.
