Location was good, easy walk to French Quarter and nice entertainment and artist market on Frenchman Street. Staff at checkout were friendly and helpful.
Slightly hostile guy at reception on check in - no welcome, just immediately asked for a credit card for the remainder of the balance due. Had to heave our suitcases up dangerously old, bent and curved stairs when we could have been told to leave them downstairs, since our room was in an entirely different building, which I didn't expect. If you're in the different building, you'll have to walk across the street to get to the courtyard to use the pool. The door to our bathroom was warped and wouldn't close properly, needed a lot of force. There was one small window in our room above the door with a curtain we couldn't open, so it was quite dark. Noise from rooms next door is super loud.
The location was great. Loved the old building and the decor. The bed was so comfortable.
Awful housekeeping. The room smelled after it was clean and they never replaced any soaps or shampoo. The sink handle was loose and the curtain rod was falling off.
. Bed was comfortable.
Room was cold when temperature dropped. Couldn’t control thermostat
It was in a great location
It was noisy. The people above us were loud and noisy
Staff were so friendly, great location and property
The Lamothe House hotel looks as traditional as it gets for New Orleans architecture. This hotel screams historical on the outside, but has been completely updated on the inside to give guests an immersive old-school experience, with modern amenities and comfort for enjoyment.
Guests have a few different choices for room types. The main building houses five Grand Antique Suites that are decorated with antique furniture and artwork from the the old days of New Orleans. Other options are deluxe rooms, other suite options, and even two-bedroom suites. There is another building that’s part of Lamothe House located just behind the main part of the property, across the street.
The Lamothe House hotel is right near the famous French Quarter of New Orleans that is full of restaurants and cafes serving all of the delicious cuisine that the Big Easy is known for. It’s also within a very quick walk from Frenchmen Street. This is the “Bourbon Street” that the locals hang out on. There, visitors can take in some live music and lots of amazing food.
New Orleans has no shortage of things to do. There is tons of live music everywhere. There are shows to go see. There is a large aquarium, all that Bourbon Street has to offer, the French Quarter, exquisite art, and a lot more. No matter what time of day or night it is, there is something to do.
The Lamothe House hotel is beautiful and a tribute to the history of New Orleans. From the liveliness of the French Quarter, to the sweet sounds of a jazz band in a café courtyard, this hotel puts guests right amidst all the action of the Big Easy.
