The location was fantastic, and the rooms were lovely. It was perfectly located for the Cliff Walk, and the Avenue of Dreams. They ran a courtesy car into town to save the problems of parking.
Breakfast was excruciatingly expensive for what it was, not helped of course by the exchange rate.
Cara dining experience excellent. Too bad they seated a dude in flip=flops and shorts.
Breakfast was just OK and expensive.
Beautiful property in a gorgeous setting.
I paid about $1,000 per night and wanted to impress my girlfriend on her birthday. The supposed “water view” was obstructed by by all sorts of roof-mounted HVAC equipment. Massive disappointment in an otherwise great setting.
The level of service was superb! The staff was available for our every need, making every detail perfect. The dinner was among the best we have ever had. The management of the facility was top shelf.
Beautiful property, excellent location, amazing staff!!
When people think of luxury, there are plenty of places that top the list. However, Newport, RI is a city that takes the idea of luxury and opulence to new levels. This is the place that was the playground for some of America’s wealthiest industrialists at the turn of the 20th century. Thanks to the influence of these folks, Newport retained much of its beauty throughout the years and its history of hospitality persists up to today. One of the great examples of Newport hospitality is the Chanler at Cliff Walk.
The Chanler at Cliff Walk is located right on the water. The hotel itself has history as one of Newport’s great mansions. With the views outside one of the 29 different rooms, you will be transported to one a bygone time while having amazing modern amenities. One of the hallmarks of the Gilded Age was service, and the service provided by the hotel is unparalleled. The luxuries in the room are amazing – including the high thread count sheets.
Dining in Newport is something to behold as well. Besides lots of locally sourced seafood, there is great craft in the different dishes that are made in the restaurant. Because Newport isn’t that large, it is easy to get to different restaurants. However, you would be wise to check out dining at Cara and The Café – both located at the hotel. These restaurants provide amazing meals including some of the best room service in the city.
Everyone deserves to stay in luxury, and it’s easy to do so at the Chanler at Cliff Walk.
