Worst Stay in Vietnam
The location was okay, but there are so many hotels around or in better locations.
The woman checking me in was so rude. She insisted on keeping my passport, no way! I insisted I'll pay upfront and she can make a photocopy. The hotel was dark and so dirty. It felt almost haunted. I woke up to cigarette smoke. The neighbors were smoking, but it felt like they were in my room. People yelling in the hallways. The breakfast was disgusting. Free breakfast at all hotels throughout Vietnam so far. I couldn't even eat here. The air quality in the room was poor. Go figure I have a cold now! I would never stay here again or suggest anyone else to. I can't believe Lonely Planet suggested this place? I waited until the last minute to book in this area, I didn't have many options, although anywhere else would have been better. Gross.

The staff was amazing! Our flight was delayed 12 hrs and they kept our bags, then let us use the pool and showers until 7pm. Breakfast was great! The room was clean, shower was large, and lots of hot water!
We booked a cheap room, which turned out to be a "room without windows." It was large but definitely dark and the hallway/kitchen noise was quite loud.

“The second time we have stayed here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, my wife is vietnamese and tells me the staff are really great. The breakfast is also excellent with a good choice. Our room was on the 8th floor and was very spacious and quite (which we asked for). The pool area is also a nice touch, a little small but it served as a nice relaxing place during the mid day sun. The hotel has many convenience stores nearby and the walk to the beach is on a flat road and takes about 5 mins (if that)! We have stayed here twice and we will definitely be returning again. Thank you”
“The Summer Hotel is a great value. The prices are reasonable, the hotel is a short walk to the beach only 2 blocks away. The rooftop pool is very convenient and the buffet breakfast was plentiful and very good. This was my second stay at this property and I’ll definitely be back. What stood out the most for me were the super friendly and very helpful receptionists. Lena and Sonia [Xuan] were very knowledgeable, helpful and were very attentive. They both exhibited excellent customer service and made my trip very enjoyable. However, all staff from the restaurant, pool bar hostess to security guards were all super friendly. In fact on the morning of my birthday, the restaurant wrote Happy Birthday on my omelette plate before serving it to me. All around a great hotel with a great staff.”
