9.2 Excellent
Pros: Cosy and nicely decorated room and property. Friendly owner and good service. Delicious food!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: 1) The VIEW: Surrounded by the mountains, the view from the garden was almost too beautiful to be true! 2) The STAFF: Very friendly and always available. 3) The ROOM: Spacious and clean. The shelves were also handy. 4) The FOOD: They serve healthy breakfast and you can also order dinner there, which was also pretty tasty. 5) HOT WATER: Didn't have any problem with hot water - that really deserves some extra points in this area.
Cons: 1) The internet: My room was a bit away from where the router was located so I could barely get connected to the internet in my room. 2) The bathroom smelled little bit.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful hotel in the middle of the sacred valley. Once you arrived there you are totally taken in charge. Everything you need is provided by the host very nice and welcoming. You really feel like at home. The room is spacious and clean. Bed is very comfortable. You have hot water in the shower. The meals are home made and delicious. Our host was very professional and the Service is perfect. Highly recommend this place if you want to be close from the station to Machu Picchu and you’re looking for calm and relaxing environment.
Cons: The hotel is a bit out of town but the host can arrange a taxi when you need to go somewhere.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host of this place is very kind. He has good recommendations for the whole area. Also the food is really nice. Pizza’s from wood firenoven and tasty breakfast. Make sure to vist the brewery next door.
Cons: It is 7 km to get in ollantaytambo. However, public busses are only 1 soles en stop in front of the door. Otherwise you can easily take a taxi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Antony was such a great and helpful host. The hotel itself is first class with amazing amenities ( especially hot water in the large bathrooms, super big beds And very tasty breakfast! ) As the hotel itself is far from noise and located in a peaceful place, Antony arranged a great and not expensive driver for our transportation needs. And also, as I suffered from altitude sickness, Antony prepared a special breakfast for me and gave me very good advice on what to do! I would come back for sure!
Cons: Nothing, everything was great
10.0 Excellent

B&B Picaflor Tambo - Ollantaytambo - Bedroom

9.3 Excellent (426 reviews)
C$ 74+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at B&B Picaflor Tambo, you'll be centrally located in Ollantaytambo, within a 10-minute walk of Pinkuylluna Mountain Granaries and Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
5.4 Okay
Cons: No heater. No car access. Dificult to arrive walking with suitcases.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The B&B was beautiful.
Cons: The room with 2 balconies was absolutely freezing cold. There was a huge mix up with the bagged lunches that meant we paid for one but did not get it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This small B&B offered an opportunity to stay in an old but updated building from the old village. We were very close to the square after a walk along the small canal and cobblestone type alley. We heard the water all night, sounding like a gentle rain. This, as most places in town, is rustic and is not expensive. Breakfast had eggs cooked to order plus Peruvian bread, fruit, ham, cheese. Antonio was a pleasure to interface with and very helpful. We had plenty of luggage area, two front facing windows, small rustic tile bath and a space heater. Next door to us was a small computer, reading nook with lovely views up the mountain. I did not expect luxury or high end for the price we paid but I did expect a clean, rustic, homey place and got it.
Cons: Hard to say anything since it was a cheap price by my standards. Therefore my rating really reflects value overall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great location and staff. Nicole and Antonio were fabulous hosts. They were very respectful, attentive, extremely helpful and responsive to all our needs. Their English language abilities were excellent. Their location is very close to the town square and ruins which are either free or part of the park pass. I highly recommend this as an accommodation!
Cons: It was all VERY good - the location, the staff, the food!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room is beautiful! Specious, in wood, with balconies and it is very nice decorated. Bad was comfortable. We had small table with kettle and teas or infusions. Breakfast is amazing, the best we had in Peru! Hotel is located in the perfect place because Ollanta is a unique town preserved from the incas time. Along the street is a small beck that we can hear from the room and this was very nice and relaxing. Hotel is 3min from the main plaza and just vis-a-vis entrance to Pinkuylluna. There is a train station in Ollanta to Machu Picchu. Personnel helped us a lot with a pick-up from the train station in Cusco and they also organized a driver for all-day tour to Chinchero, Moray and Salineras de Maras. Thank you for all!
Cons: I had to wait for hot water in the shower
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly service very clean and quaint
Cons: Beds uncomfortable. No bottled water
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpfull owners and a good breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Antonio and Nicole went above and beyond with Customer service. Breakfast was excellent they cooked fresh eggs, lovely fresh bread, fruits and cereal. The rooms are clean and location of the pretty house was perfect for the central square where restaurants and cafes and shops are. Definately recommend.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and comfortable. It was also spacious and we appreciated the equipment - hair dryer, boiler.. Location is great, central but in a quiet street. Staff is great too - they were very helpful throughout our stay, especially Antonio who provided excellent recommendations of restaurants and walks around Ollotaytambo. Much as gracias por todo!
Cons: The only negative comment we have is that the double bed is too small for 2 tall people.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: And just a few steps away from The entrance to Pinkkuylluna ruins. However if you're a lite sleeper, the walls a quite thin
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The hostel as such is located at picturesque stree in Ollantaytambo. Initially it made good impression with internal patio and views of Inka's ruins in neighbouring mountains. But initial impressions and expectations were soon disillusioned. If not the noise infiltrating the room all night, we could maybe appreciate the quality and size of the beds.
Cons: After whole day of travelling and sightseeing we hoped for a good nigh relax. Unfortunately, there is some type of disco close to the hostel and all night, until about 4.00 a.m. or more we were bombarded with music penetrating to the room. NO CHANCE for sleeping and rest. We were really infuriated and devastated. It looks that the owner did not take any precautions to reduce the noise penetration to the rooms as the windows were simply leaky. Apart from this, in the patio there was a light until late, which aggravated the situation. We actually selected this place because of relatively good opinions, hoping for rest in pleasant environment, but after all night of bearing awfull loud music we were exhausted and tired. Total failure and disappointment. This feeling was even more aggravated by the way the breakfast was served. The lady in the kitchen apparently was not able to handle it; when we were in the stage of the living they proposed us eggs. Coffee was undrinkable, some mixture of not infused grains, the juice awful as well. Seemingly the hostel in need of somebody who can handle simple breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location to the main plaza was very easy, easy walk to the plaza, to the ruins, and to all restaurants and bars. Also, we had an early tour one morning and would miss breakfast so the staff packed us a to go breakfast/lunch. They were very attentive and we appreciated their service and attention.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet street but close to the center. Wonderful sound of the water stream which was soothing at night.
Cons: If the windows were open, bugs would get inside. But that’s to be expected due to the proximity to the stream and valley.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts were great - tasty food and stunning view. The location was good too, we loved the sound of running water on the street. Staff were really helpful providing tips to visit nearby sites.
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is a great special place. Renato was very nice and welcoming. The room isn’t very big, but very functional and the bed is very comfortable! Breakfast is good too.
Cons: Nothing so important to mention. Maybe towels could. Be a little larger, but as I said, great overall!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All members of the staff were outstanding: professional, friendly, helpful. Liz helped us find beautiful hikes in the area; we would not have been able to do those hikes without her support and information. The breakfast is served in the glassed-in top floor with stupendous views of the the neighborhood and the mountains. The room was immaculate; the city is small and one can walk anywhere from the hotel. There is a small mini mart 2 blocks from the hotel; multiple restaurants and shops, ATMs close by. We walked to the train carrying our packs. I will not stay elsewhere when we return.
Cons: The rooms are small but for the amenities, location and price this hotel is excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Paola & Liz provides excellent service. They go above and beyond to meet our needs.Respond to emails/inquiries immediately. Superb service. Highly recommended.
Cons: Could have provided hair dryer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location - very close to restaurants & local attractions. Very helpful staff for what to do, booking local tours & arranging transportation to Cusco. Views from rooftop are great & this is where you have breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a perfect stay at the Kamma Guest House. Liz is wonderful and goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. She had hot water for tea waiting for us in our room after a long day of sightseeing. Our twin room was spacious, extremely clean and private. The nights in winter are cold but Liz has extra blankets and we were very cozy. The rooftop terrace has an amazing view and Liz makes you a delicious breakfast while you are looking out over Ollantaytambo. Highly recommend!

Valle Inca - Ollantaytambo - Bedroom

9.2 Excellent (603 reviews)
C$ 33+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Valle Inca places you in the heart of Ollantaytambo, steps from Cerro Pinculluna and 7 minutes by foot from Pinkuylluna Mountain Granaries. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: If you like to get off the beaten path and go on long, tourist-free walks in the vast mountain-scape surrounding the gorgeous town of Ollantaytambo, this is the place for you. The friendly proprietor talked my ear off (possibly 2 hours) on the culture, history, and, mainly, hiking opportunities surrounding the town. My significant other and I went on a 4-5 hour walk in the mountains and encountered NO other tourists. It was awesome and incredibly scenic! As others said, there are great views from the hotel, and the hotel abuts the market (the best place to eat for shoestringers like us). Highly recommended, especially for outdoorsy folks.
Cons: The water is not super hot, and the internet is not very strong, but that's par for the course in Peru (at least in hotels that cost <$20US/night, like this one).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Extremely helpful staff, great information on trekking to outer sites
Cons: Rooms all have windows to corridor & become lit up every time someone else turns a light on
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Private room is great, clean, very helpful staff
Cons: Bad tv signal
7.1 Good
Pros: I was very satisfied with the hot shower as I arrived late at night. The staff was waiting for us until.we arrive. I really appreciated it.
Cons: The room was so cold and the blanket was not enough. They didn't prepare enough hair dryers for guests.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room is spacious with a nice Mountain View.
Cons: If the room can be equipped with a heater, it will be perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff - local tips and directions; breakfast on the rooftop terrace; good location; good shower.
Cons: No heating (this is standard in Peru); view from the window - nothing special.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything yet quiet at night. Good recommendations for day hikes and restaurants were also provided.
Cons: Nada
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was simple but clean, comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful. The location is also perfect, right behind the main square. The pictures on booking.com were accurate.
Cons: The room had a glass panel above the door so I would get light coming into the bedroom from the corridor until late at night. I could also hear noise from the hotel corridor and the street.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Hot water in shower
Cons: Noisy and cold room. Bed and bedding were not very comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is a very good value as you can get a private room for about the same price as a shared dorm in other hostels. The room/bathroom was very clean and bed was comfy and warm. It’s well located, just a block from the main plaza. Wilmar was very helpful in explaining to me how to get to local sites (Maras/Moray) on my own - he knew the prices of everything and even drew me a little map! He also spent at least 10 min explaining the history/background of the sites to me. Very helpful and welcoming experience.
Cons: Wilmar told me breakfast started at 7:30 but when I went up the next morning there was no one and eventually his wife came out and told me I would have to wait until 8:30 - if I wanted it that early I needed to advise her the night before but no one had told me that. I needed an early start that morning to do a day trip so had to go somewhere else for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly and accommodating. Location is spectacular. Amazing breakfast. Comfy, beds. WiFi very good (I know this is important for some). Owner gives you the information you need when you arrive about accommodation and the area. Thank you to Valle Inca you are fabulous.
Cons: Everything was perfect

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place with everything well thought out would defo recommend. Location perfect and food was immense. Do a tour of the grounds and defo use their eucalyptus natural spa
Cons: We asked for breakfast bags to take away as we were going to machu pichu at 5am and all they gave us was 1 sandwich and a drink and fruit, when we asked for more they said no. It was a bit sad considering the food was tasty and we had a 3 hour hike ahead of us, part of the reason we chose this place was the fact they offer this breakfast option. On the train other hotels goody bags looked much more full
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, great location. Staff was very nice, and even though we arrived early in the morning, they let I check into another room for a couple of hours while our room was being cleaned.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, never stayed at/by a railway station + farm before.
Cons: Room was very nice. Would select a 2nd floor room with terrace on a second stay.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location can’t be beat in terms of the train station. The drawback of the location, however, is that you’re a long walk to the main town.
Cons: The restaurant was disappointing. At dinner, the alpaca articuchos was amazing but our pasta dish was inedible because it was so undercooked. At breakfast, the buffet is minimal and, even though there’s lots of options to chose from for a prepared meal, if you’re looking for something quick before getting on an early morning train, I would build-in a lot of time. It also took me several emails and even a phone call to arrange for a day tour beginning in Cusco and ending at the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb staff. Located right on the railway line and surrounded by fields of fresh vegetables used by brilliant cooks in the excellent kitchen to deliver wonderful meals. Thanks Includes its own coffee roastery and distillery.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazingly helpful, great location and views! Also having a well equipped kitchen was really helpful. The staff helped me solve problems I was having...and the layout of the hostel is beautiful.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is great - a short walk from the main square and on a quiet road. Ollantaytambo is busy so it's good to find a place off the main track. The garden is beside a river and our room had a small balcony overlooking the fast flowing water. The hostel is well run, with efficient, calm reception service. We met several families and groups staying for a couple of nights. Breakfast is from 6am and there is a kitchen for you to prepare your own meals from 11am. This flexibility is useful and makes Mama Simone's great value for money. There are small rooms and shared dormitories. You can buy essential items like razors and people donate items as well (we left mosquito repellent after our trip to the jungle). We sat in the garden and relaxed in the hammocks - an easy-going and relaxed place to rest after walking miles!
Cons: You have to be prepared for the loud sound of running water just outside the room! Extras like fresh fruit or omelette can be bought in addition to the basic breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hostel is by the river and just outside of town which was lovely. Super friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Not applicable

7.0 Good
Pros: Great room, lovely balcony with gorgeous view, lovely staff, decent breakfast, great location.
Cons: My stay here would have been perfect— away from car horns and street lights, EXCEPT a bright light directly outside the balcony door was kept on throughout the night, turning what would have been blissful dark into glary light! We were told outside lights would be turned off at 9.30pm, but the balcony light stayed on. This almost ruined what would have been a perfect stay. Floors and bed squeaky.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean hotel
Cons: The WiFi is unstable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds at the top of the hill in a quiet neighborhood. Lovely gardens. Comfy beds. Tea always available. Staff provided Maté con pisco for my husband when he was feeling under the weather. Gorgeous view of ruins! To top it all off there were three exquisite hammocks encircled with live flower beds , a perfect place to end the day with a cup of tea.
Cons: Ollantaytambo can be quite chilly at night and some rugs might’ve helped. There was plenty of bedding to keep us toasty though!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff - location great central and quiet area. Very relaxing.
Cons: A little noisy from above rooms if on ground floor
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything else! Lovely room, beautiful views, great staff, good breakfast, very comfortable.
Cons: Hot water was very limited.
7.5 Good
Pros: Coca tea available in the lobby. Breakfast was good, fresh eggs, fruit, bread, yogurt. Great view from our room. Lovely grounds. Housekeeping does an excellent job. Our room was a family room with 3 beds, but I would recommend going with the room that sleeps 5 people even if you have 4, as it is much more spacious.
Cons: The water in our bathroom did not work one day, and I told the gentleman at the front desk, who insisted that I should just turn the knobs all the way on and wait (this seems to be something that happens on a regular basis). I told him at least 2 more times that it was not working, he insisted everything was ok and in order, and when he finally came and looked at it, realized it was a different issue and had to call someone. However, it was late in the day and they could not come until the next day. Fortunately, the room next to us was vacant that evening and we could use the shower and facilities in that room. If there had not been a vacant room, we would have had quite an issue with no water at all - shower or sink. Also, as is noted with other reviews, you cannot drive up to the lodge. If you have a lot of luggage, it is best if you go to the ATM in the main square and have them meet you there to help with luggage.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds. Comfy Mattress. Free water and tea service. It was a bit remote from the central plaza but it was very quiet during the night.
Cons: Hot water from the shower was inconsistent. Room was a bit chilly. No safety box.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The setting was glorious The location was secluded and quiet but a short walk to town The food was well prepared and abundant The staff welcoming and helpful
4.2 Okay
Cons: No heater or air conditioner. It was extremely cold in the room and we had no heating system at all. AND NO HOT WATER. Are people supposed to take cold showers in their winter season? We waited for warm water to come out and it never did. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Also, the hotel is located at the very end of a street...with no light and away from any people. It did not feel safe. No reception staff after a certain time so I guess good luck if you arrive after or if you need anything. The door locks are tricky. No ventilation in the kitchen so the place gets extremely smelly and smokey. My eyes were burning from whatever it is they were cooking in the evening while I was in the reception area using Wifi. Wifi only in reception area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and view. Beautiful garden, very helpful and friendly staff, good food.
Cons: Nothing

The staff were very kind and stored our luggage for 2 days whilst we went to Machu Picchu, they even packed us a substantial breakfast to take with us.

Pros: Staff was friendly. They organized for us extra heating which was needed during the night. Localization of the hotel was ok, on one of the small streets without access by car.
Cons: Old, outdated and not very clean bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is amazing, I woke up to light stretching across the mountains. I brought my breakfast (also good- great coffee too) to the roof every morning.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff and facilities were both fantastic. They made sure that we were taken care of for breakfast despite the early departure. Payment was also easily taken care of.
Cons: Not an easy way to get to the front of the hotel via car so be prepared to lug your suitcases/backpacks up quite a bit of stairs to get there. You can get winded pretty easily because of the elevation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Located in the old town. Though no car access in old town. So you either have to walk from main square a few minutes slightly uphill, or from the back road carry your bag up many steps. None of which would be a problem if you weren’t struggling with acclimatising to altitude! The property itself is fairly basic, though clean and comfortable. We had a room upstairs on the terrace which overlooks the ruins which was great. We had a 6am departure before our trek and they packed a breakfast for us. And stored our luggage. The ruins are a must see. Lots of good restaurants and bars, probably the better ones closer to the ruins than the main square.

Pros: Great breakfast. Free coffee and teas 24 hours. Freat location. Really helpful and friendly staff. As some people have mentioned, the wash basin in the bathroom is cold water only (as we found is the case in many places in Peru) but the shower is great with plenty of hot water.

Pros: Really nice property. They also picked us up at the train station which was really night as we arrived after dark.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Warm family atmosphere with a knowledgeable host. We felt immediately at home and were provided with excellent local recommendations. The host provided us with a personal driver to pick us up at Cusco airport and return to Cusco.
6.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good, staff was nice, location was close to train station
Cons: Room was very dirty, no air conditioning, had to find your own towels and toilet paper, front desk dissapeared around 6pm and the shared spaces can get pretty loud with other travelers
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The guest house was very charming and in a superb location. Jorge and his staff were lovely and helpful and the king size bed was super comfortable. The views of the Ollantaytambo ruins from the room were amazing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Hairdryers in rooms were a nice touch. George was very helpful and spoke good English.
Cons: The shared bathroom was fine, but it's position next to reception and dining area means you need to be well-covered up for a quick trip to the loo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ollantaytambo was an adorable village and I am so glad we took a night to stay and explore. The bed and shower at Parwa felt incredible after a 4 day trek on the Inca Trail and breakfast in the morning was yummy and truly full stop.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s the best guest house in Ollantaytambo. Great room view, great location and great owner. Room is very clean and just few minutes walk to Inca ruins and restaurants also Station is 7 min down the street. I highly recommend this accommodation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Parwa is very comfortable and clean. The staff are wonderfully helpful and nice. Breakfast was delicious each day. The bed was really comfortable, with great bedding on it, and the room was spotless. The vegetarian restaurant next door was also great!
Cons: Our room had one window that faced a neighbor with very bright lights at night, illuminating the room a bit too much. I would suggest asking the neighbor to turn off the light shining into that room after 10 p.m., or install room-darkening curtains on that side to reduce the impact.
6.3 Good
Pros: Jorge was great. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Close to everything but there were bugs on the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room at Hotel Parwa was very comfortable and attractive. The town of Ollantaytambo is exceedingly pleasant, though I was glad we were not right on the main square. Parwa is well located a few blocks from the square on one of the very picturesque stone streets.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. I had to leave very early and they packed me a lunch box the night before.

Pros: We liked the location, away from the busy streets but close to restaurants and activities. The hotel was quiet and we enjoyed our stay. We liked the staff (family) for their prompt service and help. Special "Danke" to Karl.
Cons: While hot water was abundant and available all the time, we had difficulties in adjusting the water temperature during showers.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a small hotel located in the surroundings of a touristic small city. You can reach town´s historical center with a 10 minutes walk. Room´s view is the best in the world. You have a small garden plenty of flowers and typical decoration fidures; hummingbirds are flying around all time. Owners also have cats and dogs, which is nice if you have kids that enjoy playing with animals. Breakfast was ok, with natural juices from local fruits. Staff is nice and always make you feel welcome. Room was always clean and hotel is well decorated.
Cons: TV didnt work at room. No safe box at room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The minute we walked in the staff was very accommodating, we are traveling by car and we could park our car securely inside. We also have a Golden Retriever and he could sleep inside with us. This place is run by a beautiful family and they love animals, so when we went to Machu Picchu they took out Uli our dog for a walk and took care of him all day. When we returned we could tell he had a great day. We felt right at home, highly recommended!!!

Pros: Wonderful stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived at the hotel it was pretty late at night so It was hard to tell just how beautiful the property was immediately. We loved our room. It was spotlessly clean, large sized and we could hear water running from a stream nearby. Since We were so hungry we had a late AMAZING DINNER. When we woke up and walked outside into the warm sun and heard the birds singing... we could tell what a truly gorgeous piece of paradise this place is. You can not describe how pretty and magical the location is. Perfectly walkable to train station and town. We loved it so much that we extended our stay another night and they were able to give us our same room: it was worth risking having to pay money to the next hotel because we couldn’t cancel it. The ceviche was off the charts. And the common room with the big fireplace was fun to hang out in after a long day. We met some really fun travelers from Australia and had a lovely conversation with them. The man at the checkout was super nice and so friendly. Would love to stay again. One of the highlights of our trip to Peru!
Cons: There was a hostel across the street having a party of some kind but it wasn’t too late and they were just having fun.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Romantic setting with beautiful mountain views. Nice rooms and good breakfast.
Cons: Not a problem for us, but it’s about a 15 minute walk to town and the ruins.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, walkable from the train station. Food was great, plenty of options for dinner and breakfast (we are vegetarians). Staff was very friendly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. Nice, clean room next to gently running creak. Had tasty dinner in the restaurant. Very good breakfast.

Pros: Just by the train station. Beautiful property and great staff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location right near town and train station. Clean, comfortable and beautiful property.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location to access town square, Ollantaytambo ruins, and train to Machu Picchu. Setting of hotel absolutely stunning and very peaceful. Staff very helpful. Good selection at breakfast.
Cons: Room very basic, but it served its purpose; some areas looked a bit tired/dated. A little expensive for what was offered.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A nice hotel built like a small resort. It has a nice garden with Inca like terraces and a pool. The room is spacious and has a sufficient bathroom. The food is good. It's just 2 minutes away from the train station.
Cons: It's a bit out of the touristic centre, but not to far. There is a water stream going through the garden, which you hear in the room.

7.5 Good
Pros: Location is fantastic! Just a few minutes outside the main town in a lovely and quiet location.
Cons: The dogs outside the hotel at night were intimidating. No big issue but more personal as I am nervous around them.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The settings were gorgeous. While this was not a top high end hotel it was very nice place to stay for the price.
Cons: The location was a bit of away from the town itself.
7.9 Good
Pros: This is a small hotel set a few minutes walk out of town. But while the rooms are small its clean with hot water and a little garden. The views are also pretty special from this location. Lots of local dogs roaming around which can be intimidating but they are pretty harmless.
Cons: Wish they provided a laundry service as this would have helped!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a little hard to find and away from the most busy area. It is very clean with a nice court yard. Most staff don't speak English but the guy checked us in is from Ohio and he is extremely friendly and helpful. Before we arrived, we asked questions via emails, he always responded quickly. We stayed there for two nights, before and after visited Machu Picchu. Both nights were quiet. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The 4 person room was very spacious. There's a community room that we were able to use to celebrate my son's birthday. It had a karokee speaker, flat screen and plenty of chairs.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little neighborhood, just outside (5 minutes walk from) the touristy and often traffic choked centre of town; a real sanctuary; most comfortable beds in Peru? Very helpful staff.
Cons: No bar/restaurant on site (except for breakfast) - have young kids so can't stay out late and would be nice have had a drink once they'd gone to bed!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great, warm, clean bed, made up every day. Enough room for a PC and to store luggage.
Cons: The hot water supply is on a schedule: 6:00 to 9:00-ish and from 17:00 to 23:00 (or so we were told). Within these hours, the water was lukewarm at best. This could be health risk, because Legionella bacteria 'like' these temperatures. The management should increase the temperature, and make hot water available around the clock.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nothing not to like about this place. Location is probably the best. Breakfast was amazing, and they called a autotaxi for us to the train when we were leaving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique experience I will cherish always. its REAL PERU, not Americanized. This is the country and not like a regular chain hotel. It is a privately run small hotel. Cockfighting is legal in Peru and there are roosters crowing at all hours. I was comfortable and there were many quilts and blankets on the bed, even tho the rooms are not heated or cooled. The climate there is dry and temps are moderate and this is normal. Roosters crowed all night and also dogs barking at all hours, but somehow after my vacation I miss the sound of the roosters. Breakfast has amazing fresh squeezed orange juice, coca tea leaves in a big basket (wish i had some tea now), Owner even made a to-go lunch for our machu Picchu trip and brought it to us at 4:15AM also arrange for a mototaxi (tuk tuk) to pick us up so we didn't have to walk to the train station. The courtyard is adorable, safe. Nice living room area with big TV to use after checkout if you want to spend the day there and keep luggate in hotel office. The owner Alex speaks very good English, is very responsive on answering emails, and YES just FYI they do take VISA. Beautiful roses and flowers also wall mural paintings. Owner explained there was an alpaca kept in the courtyard for tourists, but it eats all the roses and shrubbery so thats why they moved it out . I loved all the flowers. Beautiful view of the mountains. Signs point the way to the hotel.
Cons: We had no English channels on our TV (we dont speak spanish) and no English close-caption either - it was only Spanish. I believe some rooms may have an English subtitle option - it varies by room. Roosters crow nonstop, bring earplugs if this will bother you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very helpful and friendly. We needed to leave early for our train to Machu Picchu. He got us a taxi and also fixed us breakfast to go. He also let us leave our car until we came back in the evening.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, we were so happily surprised when we walked through the door and behind the big walls surrounding the hotel. Such a beautiful place with a rustic setting and very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Our bathroom toilet was loose and leaking a bit from the bottom. They tried to fix it but weren't able to right away so they just put a towel to absorb the water. It was not a huge problem for us though.

Cons: Small rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel were absolutely wonderful. So helpful and went the extra mile in helping us change our train tickets to Machu Picchu. They let us check in early and also assigned us a room that was in the sun and really warm as I was so cold when we arrived!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was cozy, looked like a lodge which was nice. Raul puts a smile on your face to whatever issue you have or question.
Cons: Nothing I can think about
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is fantastic, and Ollantaytambo is one of the most charming towns I have ever visited. Our family of four was very comfortable in our room, with a very charming view. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying, with eggs made to order, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. It was an easy walk to the rail station to head to Machu Pichhu in one direction, and another easy walk to the market in the other. The hotel had fresh flowers, and lots of cozy nooks.
Cons: The only that could have been better would have been had our stay been longer than 2 nights- we could have stayed a week here alone! Obviously not the hotel's fault (ha!), but a fair warning to others: don't skimp on your visit to this very special town if your itinerary will allow it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, staff and location
5.0 Okay
Pros: - staff were very friendly and nice people - the communal garden area is gorgeous!! - breakfast was good and lots of variety - location was great - value for money is ok-ish - fine for one night - luggage storage
Cons: - rooms and bathrooms are dated in decor - rooms are very loud - single glazing and just very echo-y (gaps around doors etc) - not very comfortable rooms - sheets had definitely been washed but had historical blood stains on them which was offputting - lots of dust on the floor - generally not very nice accommodation but maybe it’s fine for the price range

Pros: Good location, near of everything and in a quiet area. Good breakfast, with eggs prepared at the time by the gentle ladies who own the accommodation. The owners are very helpful and friendly, the beds are clean and comfortable, and the shower is strong.
Cons: Maybe the rooms need a makeover on the walls. Could have natural juice or some fruit for breakfast also. It is not cool to charge extra fee for card payment, but this is a thing from all over Peru, practically.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Well run. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Perfectly located for the train to Machu Picchu.
Cons: A bit of a walk up hill to town. Not enough space to unpack in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. The staff was very helpful.
Cons: Bed California King size bed was too large for the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. Scrambled eggs, bread, jams, yogurt, orange juice. Always more than I could eat. Freddie or his wife would have the breakfast ready for me at whatever time I told them the day before. The location is good, just a short walk from the main square and the train station.
Cons: I was in room 8 and my only complaint is that there was no screen in the bathroom window. I was concerned about mosquitoes coming in so I kept the bathroom door closed. However, I never did see a mosquito.
7.1 Good
Pros: Great location near the train station for MachuPicchu, only a 5 minute walk so good for early or late trains. Really nice breakfast, much better than standard Peruvian with fresh fruit, scrambled egg, ham and cheese, coffee, juice and yogurt.
Cons: The bedroom was freezing cold at night, took a long time to get warm. The room smelled really strongly of diesel, I think they had recently done the wooden floors.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting by the river and close to the train station. Great breakfast and couple managing very sweet. They let us park our car in their secure parking for an extra night for S/10 while we went to Macchu Pichu which was really a relief. Double bed was huge and really comfortable - lots of points to charge phones and cameras.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The beds are comfortable and the sound of the river was pleasant.
Cons: We had many problems during our stay at Wayras. The one that caused us to leave a day earlier than planned was the toxic fumes of varnish or sealant that the owners applied on multiple occasions during our stay. This was literally causing my entire family to feel ill and it became so unbearable we decided to leave for the sake of our health. The owner offered no apologies nor redress and certainly did not offer to reimburse us for the last night of our stay. In addition to this, the internet was virtually non-existent, the room was not cleaned consistently, and there was no hot water on the first day of our stay. When I addressed the water issue with the owner, he became argumentative and essentially accused me of lying. The final straw that animal lovers will want to be aware of, is that there is a malnourished and neglected kitten that lives on the premises. I witnessed the owner treat the cat with cruelty on more than one occasion. I have used booking.com countless times, and this is the first time I have left a property early. Avoid Wayras Hostal at all costs!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was fantastic! It's only a couple blocks from the train station and the hosts were very accommodating. They let us leave our luggage the day before on our way to Machu Picchu and again after we checked out before we returned to Cusco and arranged a taxi for us. It's not heated, but the beds were comfy and warm, water was hot, and wifi was good. It was beautiful with trumpet flowers along the stairs and polished wood everywhere, breakfast was excellent, and my daughter played with a kitten. Well worth the stopover before heading back to Cusco.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service. Distance from the train station.
Cons: Slow wifi.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property was very cute and so enjoyable to hear the river all night instead of traffic noise. It is 3 minutes walking away from the train station where you catch the train for Machu Picchu. The owner was very kind and she helped us with additional needs including finding garlic to help with a cold and leaving a take out breakfast for us to take to our 5:00am train to Machu Picchu. The next morning breakfast in the hotel was full and delicious and they made it at the time that was best for us.
Cons: Our one difficulty was with the shower, and although it seems standard to be unable to maintain a consistent water temperature in showers in Peru in general, this one fluctuated quickly between freezing and scalding and had the additional downside of a window in the wall of the shower that didn’t entirely cover the hole in the wall, so you had cold air coming from outside into the shower. Brrrrrr!
6.7 Good
Pros: Close to train station, very clean and good breakfast.
Cons: No hot water for shower, difficulty checking in - had prearranged check in time but door was locked and had to knock 4 times and phone for before someone let us in.

Pros: the place is like a fun treehouse and they provided a homecookes breakfast! there was even a tiny kitten running around which added a lot of fun to the experience. The location is really close to the center of town, trains, and an archeological site.
Cons: There was a lot of light coming in the room in the morning

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Roberto (aka Wow), Mary, Carlos and Roberto’s mother along with the fun and friendly cat are the highlights of this place. They are very helpful and kind. Roberto is very mystical and in tune with the surroundings and nature and willing to share what he knows with you if you have interest. The location is perfect and has excellent views of the hills and ruins... plus just far enough way from town to be quiet. (Only 5 minutes walk to center). You could describe the B&B as a boutique backpackers as it’s covered in unique items from Incan paintings and blankets to dream catchers and homemade beds. This is a great place to acclimatize and and get to know the Incan history away from the hectic area of Cusco. You won’t find many tour buses here but you can get a private tour where you really learn about it all not just get pushed along with everyone else. If you come in winter it is chilly here and no one (not just this hotel) seems to use heat so bring warm sleepwear! Enjoy.
