The staff was very accommodating. They were happy to give us whatever we needed. They called for a taxi for us as our German is very poor, and they gave us extra coffee! The room was sparkling clean and had a helpful mini kitchen with small stove top and refrigerator. They gave complimentary beer each day and there was a bar on the main floor.
Honestly, the hotel was great. One problem for us which wouldn't be trouble for most people was that there was no lift and we had quite a bit of luggage to carry up the stairs.
The room was clean. We got the tv channel we wanted to watch the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. The coffee machine was working and well supplied. The place is close to the railway station and walking distance to the main historic centre
We'd asked for a ground floor room, we did not realise it would mean being just off the street and practically below the railway line. Noisy doesn't come near to describing the constant racket. There is supposed to be a kitchenette: anyone who can cook anything in a cupboard might appreciate. The light went on in the bathroom automatically when you walked in, good. It also went off while you were under the shower.. you had to realise that you need to move, open the shower door to get the light back on... tricky...
Great room but being on the 3rd floor it could do with a lift.
If you are to arrive late you will need to keep your email on as the hotel will email you with a code to get your door key from a grey box near the rear door.
The hotel staff was rude to us when they asked us to pay for an extra guest. We payed them the extra but then they decided to enter our room to remove the extra bedding without informing us, even though the "Do Not Disturb" sign was on our door. That was extremely unprofessional and we felt violated by this act.
The appartment was fantasic and modern
Location wasnt in the best part of the town, when walking into the town centre had to walk through the undesirable part of the town.
