Overview

In the hills above Palermo, the Casena Dei Colli, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western is a comfortable hotel with bright rooms, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and bar, and conference and meeting facilities, a short way from the city centre and the sea. Set in a leafy, restful spot away from the bustle, it makes an easy base for exploring Sicily's capital and the coast and islands beyond. The port and the seafront promenades are close at hand for a stroll. Palermo is a vibrant, sunbaked city where Arab, Norman and Spanish layers meet by the Tyrrhenian Sea. Golden mosaics gleam in the Norman palace and the cathedral of nearby Monreale, bustling street markets fill the old quarter with color and aromas, and the green slopes of Monte Pellegrino rise over the bay with the sands of Mondello beach just below. Grand old churches and palm-lined squares dot the centre.
