The staff is super friendly and helpful. The shared bathroom and shower was always available and always incredibly clean. Complimentary coffee was great.
It was a hot summer day, no Air conditioning in the room, the fan helps Some to sleep
Friendly staff, the lounge and the chats that occurred their and the easy walk to a bevy of theatre, restaurant and shopping choices with the Stanford Campus only a 10 minute walk
Such a historic and charming location and property, very welcoming! It "oozed" nostalgia. The rooms were updated and very clean. Great location, close to everything. Comfortable and quiet. -Loved the Cafe Maxine breakfast. The coffee was outstanding!
No air-conditioning. There were Dyson fans in hallways and in the room. The ceiling fan did an ample job, along with the Dyson, of keeping the room comfortable*. The carpet in stairwells and hallways had a bit too be desired (worse for the wear).... but the staff and charm had us easily over-looking that shortcoming. *NOTE: we were visiting in July and it was a bit warm during the day, thus it was a bit stuffy at night. (But as a "hot sleeper" this may not apply to everyone).
