When they are looking for a historic, yet boutique hotel to stay in, they can stay at the Cardinal Hotel. This hotel was built in 1924 and is located near Stanford University. Pros (+) It's right in the center of everything I just walk to Stanford, restaurant's, etc.
Cons (-) You get some noice early morning trash collection and late at night people walk-in from bars, but they do offer ear plug
