To play some golf during your trip to Paphos stay at the Minthis Hills Golf Club and Hotel. This luxury resort is located in the south of Paphos and is on the same grounds as a monastery that dates back to the 12th century.
In addition to all of its historic sites and impressive architecture, Paphos is known for its beautiful beaches with soft sand and clear water. Pro " Absolutely brilliant, cannot fault the breakfast. The hotel although full, never seemed busy or crowded. The restaurant by the beach was very good, although after a week the menu was a little repetitive. Staff everywhere were excellent. Accommodation and housekeeping excellent. Check in experience excellent. Marios the manager in the restaurant on the beach was brilliant and deserves promotion, also his staff were first class. "
Con " Although the buffet was enormous, it just felt like it was the same selection each night, although i'm sure it varied. After the evening meal there was very little do occupy yourself with, the main bar inside the hotel is in the wrong location, facing inside with no windows, given the spectacular views its a complete waste, almost a throw back to the 80s. There is such a huge opportunity to re design the VIP area and check in areas along with the vast space in reception into the main bar and entertainment area. Service around the pool could be improved a little. Be weary of the evening dress code for me, no shorts allowed, even if the shorts are smart dress shorts, although funnily enough women can wear shorts, a little unfair given tailored shorts are often more respectable than cut off denims..... Pro " The hotel was fantastic however, your rate was not!!! I am truest disappointed by the outrageous rate I was charged through booking.com for three night. I extended my stay through the hotel which is how I know this. It ruined my birthday experience. You have taken complete advantage. "

Pro " Very cozy and family place. It's really peaceful there. We had two-rooms suite with mountain and swimming pool view. It takes only 10 minutes to get to Coral bay on the car. But from my point of view if you are without car this hotel is not very suitable for you. There are not many things around. We drove to Coral bay when we needed to buy something in supermarket. On the other hand there is perfect restaurant Kambana Cafe not far from the hotel. You can get there in 5 minutes on foot. Hotel also has own kitchen, but it works only in some certain hours, it was not very convenient for us. There are fridge, stove, microwave, kettle in the room. So you can cook by yourself if you want. Generally hotel gave us good impressions. "
Con " Few electric outlets in the room. However there were a couple of USB connectors for phone charging. Cleaning is one time in two days. Wherein small incident happened with us. Housekeepers knocked on our door, I asked them to come in 30 minutes, when we leave the room, but no one came us that day. Thereby our room was cleaned one time in 5 days. "

Pro " The staff were simply great. Very helpful and friendly. Especially Anna on reception and Violetta the room maid. They tried very hard to make up for the inconveniences and problems at the beginning. And I must say I found myself warming to the place in spite of the comments below. The location and the beach excellent. "
Con " The fact that I was given a noisy room (G34) opposite the bar despite having been noted as arriving ill, and having requested a quiet room at the booking, was most inconsiderate. When I moved to 214 the next day, I got much more peace and quiet, and though satisfied on the whole, was still disturbed by the generator sound between 8 in the morning and 11, and again between 17:00 and 20:00 every day. I decided to let it go as I could not face moving yet again. The hotel is overpriced for such a cramped sun lounging area. The lack of smart keys and extra costs for the safe out of date. Finally, I found the stink owing to the overuse of chemicals used to clean the towels so bad, I had to alert the maid. Again though I must add that when I pointed out what was wrong, the staff could not have been kinder and more helpful in solving the problem. The point is though, for the rating and money paid it does not match up. "

Pro " Very nice apartment, spacious, clean and comfortable. Residents were mainly families with children. I was there for a business trip, and I can say that it is a perfect structure also if you have to work. The municipality beach is at only 5 minutes, good if you want to relax after a working day without too many kids around :-) "
Con " Neighbours downstair were noisy at night (until 2 and 3 am, for four nights in a row). Since the apartments are very close to each other, they disturbed more than one block. I didn't make any formal complaint to the reception because I didn't want to behave like an old annoying woman. Just be aware that if you want to sleep well at night, you might need to ask the intervention of the receptionists. "

Pro " The location is excellent. The hotel as a structure is perfect. Many different buildings rather than your typical super huge single building like other hotels. The rooms are very well soundproofed, spacious with high quality mattress. The poll is top of the pops and the surrounding area is relaxing. The breakfast will exceed all your expectation as it has everything! "
Con " They pool-bar is the weakest link of the hotel. Below average food might be an understatement. They don’t offer proper and fresh espresso that is the most common thing in Cyprus. I had to take my car drive for 2-3 Km to buy a €2 coffe that was freshly grind and brewed. They could have easily do that and charge me €4 and still be happy! But the biggest let down are the alcoholic beverages. Cheep local brands that I would never consume in my life. There is an all day bar at the property called suit 48 that is kind of a part of the hotel. If they don’t host private party’s and they can serve you all the above goes away but you can’t charge your room tub you have to pay there. When I was there suit 48 was hosting a private party. "
