The food at the resturant was very good as well as the hotel accomadation being of a high standard.
Not all Television channels available (this was not a problem for us, as senery was so lovely we didn't need TV)

The Haweswater Hotel sits on the lake in the Haweswater Nature Reserve, surrounded by 100 square miles of protected wildlife lands with breathtaking views of Kidsty Pike over the lake. This property is on the Wainwright Coast-to-Coast path, close to Lowther Castle, Brougham Hall and Castle, and Shap Abbey. Guests can also find plenty of pubs and eateries near the hotel, and Ullswater, Pooley Bridge, and Penrith are all a short drive away.
The Haweswater Hotel does not offer phones or televisions in guest rooms. There is a payphone in the reception area and guests can find limited mobile signals at the property. This hotel is the only building in the Valley of the Golden Eagles, offering a private getaway with 14 guest rooms and one apartment unit. All but one guest room feature beautiful views of the fells and the lake, and the apartment includes a fully-equipped kitchen and a sofa bed. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar for guest dining and drinks.
