The food at the resturant was very good as well as the hotel accomadation being of a high standard.

This property is on the Wainwright Coast-to-Coast path, close to Lowther Castle, Brougham Hall and Castle, and Shap Abbey. Guests can also find plenty of pubs and eateries near the hotel, and Ullswater, Pooley Bridge, and Penrith are all a short drive away.
The Haweswater Hotel does not offer phones or televisions in guest rooms. There is a payphone in the reception area and guests can find limited mobile signals at the property. This hotel is the only building in the Valley of the Golden Eagles, offering a private getaway with 14 guest rooms and one apartment unit.
