Pros: Perfectly located in the heart of Perugia, my brother and I had an amazing stay at the Locanda della Posta. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and a nice view. The bathroom was perfectly clean and the shower very relaxing. Staff was exceptional, particularly Hamid who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, suggesting excellent restaurant addresses and places to visit. We will definitely recommend and come back again !

The breakfasts are great - plenty of choice and again staff excellent. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from the breakfast room. Could not fault it. A wonderful stay. Cons: The one aspect we less pleased with was a couple of your staff. When we asked questions, for example what are some options for a day trip to Assisi? We gotta blank stare. Is there a train? “Maybe”. Do buses go there? “The bus station is down the hill”. What do you suggest? “A car”. I realize the person at the front desk is not a travel agent, but perhaps give us (customer/visitor) the feeling you are trying to be helpful or care. Secondly, we visited your bar about 5 times. Lovely spot. We had 2 bartenders that were young and not sure how to make a gin and tonic and vodka and soda. I have no problem with their inexperience. I do have a problem with the older bartender who took 15 minutes to take the order, then stopped to for 10 minutes to make a local fellow a cappuccino, restarted our order, then his shift ended at 7, the young bartender took over, and was confused. The older fellow looked at his phone for 5 minutes until I asked him if he could help the younger man. I’m a jazz musician and have played the Perugia Festival many times. I love your town. Perhaps I’m a pushy New Yorker, but I expect to have my drink in lass than 30 minutes when we’re the only people in your bar. I’m not trying to get any one in trouble, but you asked. Thank you.

Pros: We loved this very friendly hotel. We were fortunate to have a room with a balcony and an amazing view. Everything was spotlessly clean and functional. There are bars, restaurants and shops on the doorstep. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We arrived in Perugia by train and took the Mini Metro (walk to end of platform 1 and the Metro is directly opposite) to Pincetto. There is a ticket machine near the entrance barrier and costs 1.5 euro per person per ride which takes about 5 mins. Turn right out of Pincetto and the walk to hotel takes about 10 mins. Dalla Bianca restaurant was excellent for simple tasty home cooked food at a very reasonable price. The house wine was perfect with the food and just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Cons: The no smoking rule is not observed by many guests and you can smell it coming into the room as the corridors are very narrow. We just left balcony doors open but it could be a problem for some people.

Pros: The location was fabulous, just outside the city walls and a few metres from the escalators to the old town. The staff were welcoming and helpful especially with an evening meal recommendation. We had only chosen Perugia as an interim stop between Rome and Florence to get a bit of R&R but it was a magical place, just like being in a film set. We will certainly return to explore other nearby hill towns.

Pros: It was a cozy comfortable hotel right in front of a small open-air market and evelator to the inner city. I arrived before the check-in time but they were helpful enough to let me use the room. The room was spacious with comfortable bed and spacious bathroom for one person. I was a bit surprised that the shower had still had two taps( one for cold water and one for hot water to mix your ppreferable temperature for showering) but when I learned the ropes it was easy! There was a hot water maker with coffee/tea. The bed was comfortable and warm enough. Wifi worked fast and good. Everything was good and nothing to complain :-) It is located quite close to the Perugia old city center using the evelator made inside the walls and it is easy to access even when raining. From the Perugia train station, it took me 25 minutes to slowly walk. By using Minimetro, it took around 7 minutes from the station to the hotel.

We had only chosen Perugia as an interim stop between Rome and Florence to get a bit of R&R but it was a magical place, just like being in a film set. We will certainly return to explore other nearby hill towns.

Pros: It was a cozy comfortable hotel right in front of a small open-air market and evelator to the inner city. I arrived before the check-in time but they were helpful enough to let me use the room. The room was spacious with comfortable bed and spacious bathroom for one person. I was a bit surprised that the shower had still had two taps( one for cold water and one for hot water to mix your ppreferable temperature for showering) but when I learned the ropes it was easy! There was a hot water maker with coffee/tea. The bed was comfortable and warm enough. Wifi worked fast and good. Everything was good and nothing to complain :-) It is located quite close to the Perugia old city center using the evelator made inside the walls and it is easy to access even when raining. From the Perugia train station, it took me 25 minutes to slowly walk. By using Minimetro, it took around 7 minutes from the station to the hotel.

Cons: There is a bit of stairs to go up to the hotel and it is a bit old fashioned.

Pros: By pure coincidence we hit Perugia on the first day of The Chocolate festival. It’s a bit like Glastonbury except it’s all about chocolate. The hotel was perfect, great views, terrific bar and restaurant and a shuttle bus to take you into the centre of town. Rooms very quiet, nice balcony and staff most obliging.

Cons: Just keep in mind that it is not a fancy hotel, you can tell that it's been a while since the last renovation. Thus, all the amenities worked perfectly and the heating system was great so the room was perfectly warm during the night.

Cons: Light sleepers, dont forget your earplugs with you. The walls of the hotel are quite thin and you can get awoken by a smallest sound easily. Its normal for old historical architecture. Earplugs do the job nicely, so dont worry about it.

Cons: The building is old and if you're looking for latest and greatest in terms of luxuries and entertainment, you will be disappointed. The facilities are a bit run-down and would need refurbishing. Breakfast was kinda weak.

Near the mini metro station Pincetto Staff is very accommodating and helpful Daily maid full maid service is a huge bonus. Mini fridge . Double bed was really huge . Nice balcony where you can have your coffee or a glass of wine .
