From the owner to the staff, there was nothing we could ask or want that they did not deliver. We were 'FAMILY', and it was difficult to say good-bye. When I had difficulty with a blocked Visa, hotel employee spent all the time necessary in helping me contact my U.S. Credit Union to resolve the problem. Whenever we left to sight-see and the weather was inclement Fabio was at the door looking for us, concerned with our welfare. Hotel Employees were constantly attentive with our breakfast and conversation. Hotel Employee and her staff patiently waited until we left for the day to clean the room, which was always cleaned spotlessly. and the location could not have been any better; close to restaurants, train station, bus terminal, churches... Ans speaking of restaurants, one of the best, if not the best seafood restaurant is owned and operated by the owner of the hotel. Br sure to try Le Terrazze. One of the dishes I had was 'Spigola alla Siciliana' -- Delicious!!! Hotel Employee was there to greet us and offer us a complimentary aperitif. Thanks, for recommending it. Even my wife who is not particularly fond of seafood loved her selection of fettuccini, prawns, porcini with cream sauce... We spent four nights at the Victoria Hotel. Oh, and the shower was a welcomed change from other European hotels: a stationary top head, a had-held one, and sprays to cover the entire body.
My wife and I travel a LOT, and we have no words to express what a pleasure it was to be in Victoria Hotel: the friendliest staff ever, clean sheets every day Who has ever heard of that?), extensive breakfast choices (cold and hot). A GEM!!
