Excellent hotel manager who took so much time to help us plan both our time in the city & the rest of the country, he made our visit to Phnom Penh a real pleasure. The hotel is very clean & we enjoyed being a little out of town, as it was quiet & a tuk tuk was only $2 into town. I would highly recommend this property.
The very well appointed rooms; the small but cute swimming pool. The use of a glass bottle for water rather than a plastic one.
Nothing really. The breakfast maybe was a little small, but was decent quality, with excellent bread. Also slightly annoying was the automatic bathroom light.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and so helpful for booking tuk-tuks around town, giving advice, helping with whatever you might need. The pool/courtyard area is truly idyllic, and such a glorious respite from the heat and hectic nature of Phnom Penh. The location is not right on the riverfront, but it is a quick 10-20 minute walk, depending on where you want to go. There is a little corner store nearby where you can buy water or beer for very cheap. The breakfast was delicious as was the food (I ate dinner there a couple times). The room was very comfortable. There were some complaints online about the air conditioner not working. The AC in my room was totally fine, but this is just a tip that maybe confused some people. The AC turns off automatically when you leave the room, and you need to manually turn it on again when you come back, in addition to putting your key in the slot to turn on the power. There is a remote to turn it on. If you don't do that, it won't come on.
It would maybe have been nice to have hand soap provided in the bathroom, separately from body wash.
small quaint and very warm and hospitable staff
The staff was very accommodating and nice. The courtyard and pool is beautiful.
The area itself is incredibly loud. It’s next to a car repair shop, so when I was trying to sleep off some jet lag I was immediately woken up early that morning to the very loud sounds from the car repair shop. I also couldn’t sleep well due to the packs of dogs barking all night, and other street noise. I eventually moved hotels a couple blocks down and was immediately much more comfortable. Also, they tried to do something fancy with the lighting, but instead it ended up being an annoying pain because none of the motion sensor lights worked, and would just flicker on and off at all hours of the day and night.
