Pros: This is the second time we have stayed at Il Colombaiolo, and both visits have been exceptional. Pienza is an excellent base for touring the area, and is itself a lovely town. Il Colombaiolo is very convenient to Pienza, and is spacious, comfortable, spotless, and full of amenities. The breakfasts are outstanding, and varied across the days. During our previous visit, our breakfasts were on a patio with a beautiful panoramic view of the Val d"Orcia; this time, because it was colder, breakfasts had moved inside (to a very pleasant room).

Pros: Lovely location and views of the Tuscan countryside. Very clean and good facilities.
Cons: A bit further away from Pienza than was stated and steep walk up a hill so need to be relatively fit. If you require breakfast make sure you request it in advance of your stay.

Cons: Should have tea/coffee making facilities in room.

Pros: Warm welcome and wonderful breakfasts looking over one of the best landscapes in the world (Val d'Orcia). Lucia the owner could not do enough for us. Peace & tranquility. We will definitely go back.

Pros: The owner, Lucia was fantastic. Friendly and cooperative, she was willing to communicate with the guests and help in any way possible! Fantastic views! Wonderful breakfast. Perfect place to relax on our honeymoon!
Cons: Swimming pool would make the place perfect! I beleive one is planned

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Il Colombaiolo! Our hostess was delightful and she worked very hard to make everything perfect. The breakfast was delicious, the best we had in Italy, and the setting was beautiful, looking out over the valley. We highly recommend Il Colombaiolo to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Italy. We will stay again.
