Very friendly staff, nice rooms, a lovely garden, relaxing yoga sessions and good drinks at the earth bar - I had just a perfect stay!
The staff was amazing and the location feels like a whole in the world, us and the beach
The room number system to get drinks/food on our bill was not working too well, some people ordered things under our room but we could rectify that at check out with the lovely staff. Perhaps a band or checking the key for room number could mitigate that
Great location on Plaka.
Sun bed "reservation". Yes, still the usual suspects!
The property is set in beautiful gardens which lead down to the pool and bar area and the beach. The sea is clear and the beach clean with beautiful views. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the waiter named Eddie. Reasonable comfortable room with nice balcony and views of garden and sea beyond. The breakfast was tasty and well cooked with a good selection once you figured out what combination you are allowed from the menu.
The noisy wedding party who stayed all week and hogged the whole pool and surrounding comfortable sun beds. The beach sun beds were extremely uncomfortable. All food is served outside and there are loads of flies. I have been to many Greek resorts and never had this problem before. The breakfast menu is unnecessarily complicated and the food in the evening takes an age to arrive and that’s when it’s not busy. You definitely need a car as the bus stop to the nearest village is a long trek up the beach and very dark returning although they will provide torches.
Location is fabulous - right on the beach and with fabulous sunset views. George cannot do enough for his guests and the welcome on arrival is great. Breakfast is a set menu but very nice. Some days it can take longer to have breakfast than others but the setting in the garden is good. The restaurant at night is also in the garden and has a decent menu but the prices are a bit high. Service is excellent however and Eddie was an exceptional waiter. Pool is beautiful as is the small beach and poolside bar. A really quiet escape from life.
Location is remote with a 10 minute walk along the beach to the nearest restaurant. This should be borne in mind when booking as this is not a lively resort and it's down a laneway.
