Pros: We slept for three nights at Villa Mons ans we really enjoyed it. The couple who runs the Bed and Breakfast is very nice and we had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was awesome. Cons: Nothing at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big comfortable bed very roomy bathroom with lovely toiletries and good towels pretty garden with birds very quiet arrive on a Wednesday morning and you will walk through the weekly market o get rto the door charming little touches in the room, flowers, drinks in fridge, sweets in lidded glass bowl a breakfast spread to die for – excellent coffee, baguette, pain au chocolat, croissant, three kinds of jam, two sorts of cheese, a beautifully prepared plate of fruits, yoghurt, orange juice But the very best aspect of this accommodation is the hosts themselves – a charming couple who made my stay with them an absolute delight. Nothing was too much effort for them – including making up a wonderful breakfast hamper for me when I had to leave early for a train. What a delight it was to open the little parcels of lovingly prepared food later in the day! A big thank you to my wonderful hosts!

Cons: Location location location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Veronique was an amazing hostess. She made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived, providing us with a thorough orientation to the area and suggestions about how to make the most of our time there. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and homey. Breakfast was delicious. Dinner on our night there was a picnic on the building's grounds looking out over a beautiful meadow at Mt. Saint Michelle in the distance. Just beautiful. Great for our family of four.
Cons: I wouldn't change a thing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Veronique was professional, attentive and friendly from the minute we went through the gate. The location is really good - very close to the shuttle bus taking people to the Mont-St-Michel, but without the hustle and bustle of people, which the other hotels close by seem to have. It's also an easy, flat walk (about 2.5 kms but easy to do) if you decide you want to walk. Veronique is obviously passionate about her business and provides great information about the Mont eg best times and places to eat. The breakfast she provides is an extensive (and lovingly prepared) contintenal breakfasts. If we returned to the Mont, she'd be the place we'd choose to stay.
Cons: Not a dislike, but our GPS had difficulty finding the location - persist though, it's well worth it!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location could hardly be better for visiting Mont St Michel. Plentiful, spacious on-site parking and a short walk to the free shuttle buses. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. The host, Veronique, was absolutely superb in all respects. The quality of the breakfast was excellent with fresh produce and home made cake. There was also a tea/coffee making facility available all day in the breakfast room.
Cons: The choice of cereal at breakfast was a little unimaginative with only corn flakes or what looked like Coco Pops for children. There was no muesli or granola style available and, surprisingly for France, only one type of bread and no croissants!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our hostess was friendly, helpful, courteous and kind. The accommodations were lovely. The breakfast was good value and well done. The location was superb
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The owners were very friendly, helpful and welcoming and they spoke good English. Breakfast was very good. Fresh bread, croissants. Lovely home made jams. Very peaceful location. Easy distance to Mont St Michel.

Pros: Lovely family room, fantastic location, so so quiet and great to relax in the outside space on arrival
Cons: Be aware very steep stairs to the Dior room, need to keep an eye out for the little ones. Also very cosy bathroom, lovely shower but don’t expect to have much room at the sink which may or may not be a problem.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was very peaceful, a good change for us as we live near London. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the necessary things like tea/coffee making facilities and hair dryer. The shower room was well appointed and we were encouraged to ask if we needed anything else. Breakfast was very varied, from croissants to cold meats, cheeses, French bread and home made preserves. Some days there were fruit yoghurts and fresh fruit from the garden with plenty of tea and coffee.
Cons: We liked everything!!

Pros: The host were very friendly. We got the attic room which was perfect for us, as we travelled with 3 young children. Breakfast is simple and enjoyable.

Cons: Nothing. This hotel met all of our expectations.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We spent one night in this hotel on our way to Mont-Saint-Michel. We asked for two quiet rooms and got rooms in the back on the second floor which were extremely quiet. The rooms, one triple and one double, were comfortable and very clean with modern bathrooms. The hotel is authentic and has a lot of character (beautiful old wood stairs). The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a very nice buffet with many different kinds of things (fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, eggs, croissants, baguette, etc.). We strongly recommend this hotel and would be very happy to come back.
Cons: Nothing.

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Auberge de la Baie in Pontorson, you'll be by the sea, within a 15-minute drive of Mont Saint Michel Abbey and Mont-Saint-Michel. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: Close proximity to Mont-Saint-Michel with a great few of the weather has been better. We were able to eat at the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, although a little dated in design.
Cons: Restaurant service was poor. Staff were very busy and obviously needed more help and as such we did not feel welcome. Head waiter grabbed a half used water jug from a table that had left, topped it up and gave it to another table!!! Hygiene out the window!! Coffee was less than ordinary at breakfast. Breakfast food was great. Dinner meal was also very good.
6.7 Good
Pros: Close walk to Mont Saint Michel and offering all facilities you’ll want from a 2* auberge in rural France- actually exceeding the expectations with the restaurant! They let us park the car and widely explained how to walk towards the island for our tour, but if you catch a rainy day do maybe consider some weather-proofed shoes (and jackets), because the walk is diagonally through a meadow and water will find a way to ruin your day!
Cons: The room lacked personality and had a noisy dehumidifier (yup). The lightning was very low or just very yellow, it did not feel cosy. Also, very sad and mellow pillows, especially for such a large comfortable queen bed! No toiletries, also.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view of Mont St Michel
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: There were loads of fly's in the room and restaurant. Our room was next to a very noisy road and staff were moving things about after 11pm making a lot of noise. Would not stay here again.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location of the hotel is good if you have a car. We had to walk 3km, in the middle of the road, very danger, to go there and to go to the Mont Saint Michel. No transport available. It is very strange to a touristic place,
Cons: The country side is beautiful.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room was clean and basic.
Cons: There was only a bath with a wash off shower within. Therefore you were unable to take a shower without holding the shower head the whole time. The metal blinds did not completely shut rtherefore still allowing day light in to the room. Unfortunately had we done more research we would have stayed closer to Mont St Mich. With a 2km walk to get to the village by the walkway to the island driving is needed for a long day’s visit. The car park was €14.95 each day to pay and €4.95 for an evening visit. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can not comment on food.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved that the view from the front of the hotel showed Mont St Michel. Daily sheep were herded from a pasture in front of the monastery down the street next to the hotel which was a fun experience to watch! We ate in the restaurant and had an excellent vegetarian meal! Also it was within less than a 2 mile walk of the monastery which saved parking fees.
Cons: WiFi was weak and room very basic but clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean cozy hotel. We arrived late at night, but we're still welcomed to our room. Would be nice to have a kettle in the room. They did fill my thermos with boiling water though. Lovely clean, comfortable room. Bit small though, but adequate. Loved watching the sheep pass by every morning and every evening
Cons: No kettle in room. A little on the small side.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location, breakfast and views. Restaurant is nice and pleasant staff
Cons: The room was a bit over priced but probably due to the location. A noisy generator was outside the room but this was helped, not so loud once inside with door closed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for visiting the abbey. We walked there (via fields of sheep) with a magnificent view the whole way! We also enjoyed watching the huge flock of sheep meandering down the street going to and from the fields in the evening and morning; an unexpected sight.
Cons: Although the room was clean, it was small and a bit cramped for two people with luggage.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: close to site
Cons: all good

Pros: Swimming pool and calmness
Cons: Charging 8 EUR for linen
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location and grounds, games, pool were fantastic.
Cons: There was no space for suit cases.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally friendly and pleasant staff. Very clean and functional caravan. Walking distance to Pontorson which has a lovely church, restaurants, bars and shops. Pool was excellent. Lots to do for children and spacious grounds with bbq areas and lots of greenery and flowers. Bar and shop very handy and the pizza van on Friday and Saturday was excellent. Facilties for campers/campervans looked excellent. 9km from Mont Saint Michel.
Cons: Internet/wifi not great but ok. Pool could maybe open earlier than 10am for early risers and people who want a swim without it being busy. No oven in caravan but I understand why as they are pain to keep clean.
7.9 Good
Pros: good location near St Mont Michel and the nearby town is quite nice with a couple of good restaurants
5.8 Okay
Pros: Little farm at the entrance of the camping
Cons: We couldn't turn on the heater in one of the bedrooms so we put the matresses on the floor in the living room and we slept there.I didn't realise there are no towels provided. There was nobody on reception at the time of our arrival so we couldn't speak to anybody about the heater that was not working and also the heater from living room was to small to keep the living room warm.Wifi almost doesn't work in the mobile home that we have been given.I couldn't manage to connect and my husband used it outside the house.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved this place. I firstly booked one night in a caravan (I was very upset to find out on arrival that I had to pay E400 deposit and clean the van on check out, neither of which is usual in the UK) However we like the place so much we put the tent up and stayed for three additional nights. This was an impromptu holiday booked with my son at the last minute and I was very pleased to have found such a fantastic gem. I will return but next time with my bike so I can cycle along the river. Thank you so much to everybody at the site for being so understanding x
6.3 Good
Pros: With such a great location near one of the most tourist attraction place of France (Mont Saint Michel), the price of the accommodation was really good. It was very clean with fully-equipped kitchen. The bathroom was also very comfortable and big enough for a relaxing experience. The house was lovely and warm. It had private parking right next to the house, so convenient. The best thing is even though we were very late for the check-in time, they still arranged the keys and instruction map for us. It was really thoughtful.
Cons: 1. I booked the accommodation for 5 adults. They house I booked was said to be enough for 6 people with 6 beds. However, it had only 2 single bed and 1 double beds (enough for 4 people), and the staff said to me that one of us should sleep on sofa, which was very small and uncomfortable (not fit 1 adult for sure). Luckily we were only 5 people, if we were 6, maybe we would have to sleep on the floor of the kitchen. 2. The kitchen was amazing but one of the stove did not work. 3. In the booking description they did not mention that we have to pay extra fee for bed linen and for cleaning service (8 euros per bed for bed linen and 50 euros in total for cleaning). After booking, they sent me this information but the booking was non-refundable cancellation so I could not cancel it and book another one. To be honest, with this total price, I prefer to book other accommodations. 4. The best thing about this Camping is that it has swimming pool and sauna for free. But they close them during they time we stay there, which they also did not mention in the booking description. After booking, they sent me information but of course it was too late.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place for kids lots to do
Cons: Floors were dirty under the beds
6.3 Good
Pros: It’s near on mont st.michel.and i love those animals in the viscinity..
Cons: Never connected on their wifi!wéve been there for 2nights!and they count the couch as a bed.we are 6 pax.2bedrooms,1 bedroom has double bed who can fits 2people,1bedroom who has 2 single beds.and my kids just slept on the couch
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The swimming pool was good, the kids had lots of fun. They enjoyed going to see the animals and playing the games on site
Cons: No proper tin opener. No security. Any one can go in and out of the camp site

5.8 Okay
Pros: Nicely located in the centre of Pontorson, close to Cap Ferret
Cons: Late check in, 4 pm.
6.7 Good
Pros: A good buffet breakfast and a clean comfortable bed.
Cons: We received a rather disinterested welcome. Never did discover the swimming pool ( no mention or signs) . Asked about the parking (knowing that this was an ‘extra’) but none offered - told it was ok to park on the road. I had emailed in advance to see if dinner was possible on a Sunday evening and received reply that no food served Sunday evening, which I accepted- except the restaurant was open for Dutch coach party! We spent our money at a jolly pizzeria round the corner!! I also wonder why, although it wasn’t a problem, our very 1970s brown ‘superior room’ looked out over the train track!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stuff member are very nice and very helpful. Very nice place and recommended at 100% :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast was wonderful - fresh fruit and delicious breads. The best breakfast we found during our entire two week trip in France.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: staff was very friendly and helpful, food was very good, we stayed for diner and still got accomodated despite of late arrival - we had an issue with the bath as we couldnt get the water out, but we received an apology and a rebate on the room rate, so that was ok, these things happen and i am sure they got it fixed now,
Cons: did advise to have some more options to place your toiletry in the bathroom, we were only three , but you can stay with 6, so one would need some extra shelves to put your things - the bathroom itself was large enough, only minus was no wifi in the room and that is not announced when you book the room, so that would need to get fixed , think this can be done easily with a wifi booster
7.1 Good
Pros: the hotel was simple but ok. the staff arranged a private parking lot, away from the street. we really loved the diner at the restaurant in the hotel: we ordered the menu of the day and the food was delicious.
Cons: the beds were not so comfortable.

Pros: The lady on reception was great.
Cons: The sink was cracked, there was only soap in the bathroom and no shampoo, there was no air conditioning, it was noisy very early in the morning, the WiFi was patchy.

Pros: Clean enough. Quiet environment
Cons: The fact that is not detailed on booking that the hotel doesn't have a reception and you have to go to a different hotel for check-in. Is overpriced for what you get.

Pros: The (ladies) staff are friendly and very helpful. The location of this hotel is unbelievably close to the train/bus station. It makes a great connection if you are traveling towards Mont-Saint-Michel (bus) from other cities (train).
Cons: It could have been better experience if they change the carpet.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: the location
Cons: they couldn’t find my name in the system And transferred us to hotel ariane . They gave us an apartment. The size was good but the bathroom and sink were not good.

Located in Pontorson, Hotel le XIV is in a shopping district, a 5-minute drive from Moulin de Moidrey and 6 minutes from Alligator Bay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, nice location
Cons: Lots of Stairs to climb and then was warm upstairs.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Little
Cons: Shabby room - poor towels with holes in them
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was good. And the room was clean.
Cons: Only one toilet for the whole floor. Shower was small and see through. Made it very awkward when staying with friends.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Endless cup of coffee. Location was excellent. Very close to the train and bus to St. Mont Michael, about a 2 minute walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They made the beds everyday and set out new towels. There was plenty of hot water. There is a outdoor shared porch/balcony where you could sit. This is an older hotel so the room is small, but the staff keeps it clean. The hotel reminded us of a 1940s movie, which was interesting. If you are expecting the Ritz, this place is not for you. If you want basic accommodations then this is for you.
Cons: We didn't expect to have the shower in our room next to the bed. Also, the toilet is down the hall and shared. The town rolls up the streets at night, so make sure you have something to eat. This is not the fault of the hotel.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location is great. 1 minute from train and buses. It is value for money in the Mont St Michel area.
Cons: Beds very old and uncomfortable. Clean sheets but grubby valance and throw. Shower door off its runner. Very noisy with people at 2am arriving in. Walls thin and you can hear people s conversations in neighbouring units.
7.1 Good
Pros: Price wise is the cheapest place around
Cons: Shower cabin super tiny and next to your bed. No carpets and some construction or crazy hotel guest in the room above us was throwing things on the floor at 5 am until 10am made our morning very difficult
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The town was great and had a lot of little bakeries and restaurants to try. You also can't beat only a 15 minute bus ride (3€) from the bus stop across the street to Mont Saint Michel! Excellent location for the bus stop.
Cons: The shower in the room was very small which we were not used to but it worked so I can't complain too much! Bed was a bit rough sleeping in the second night but it did the job.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was not around and yet they made sure we were able to access the room. Everything was ready, clean and comfortable. Great location near the train and bus stations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the kindness of the owners.
Cons: The owners were very helpful. The room was cheery. The neighbor great. Pontorson is a sweet town and this hotel helps to make it so.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendliness. Good night’s sleep. Breakfast and evening meal. Somewhere to Put my bike.

7.5 Good
Cons: Property lacked fire escapes
7.1 Good
Pros: Its location is excellent. Value for money is good.
Cons: The room was typical French bar hotel room and is now very tired. However you have not lived if you have not had to hold a shower door closed or seen the curtain come off the rail! It is a quirky hotel and while it's stae of décor and repair did not in any way spoil our visit because we are well travelled I guess some people would not be happy even for the money!!!
6.7 Good
Pros: Croissants and bread were good, staff friendly but too busy with restaurant in the evening.
Cons: Rooms tired, scruffy bathroom, didn’t feel clean, basin cracked and no plug. Toilet paper not in holder, all seemed cheap and ‘make do’
5.0 Okay
Pros: Liked the location. Safe and plenty of on street parking
Cons: The room was very tired and needed a complete make over
6.7 Good
Pros: The location is very convenient, 8 minutes walk from the train station. Nice room, soft bed. There is a small shop, restaurants and creperies nearby.

Cons: Breakfast very basic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners of the hotel were friendly and super accommodating, our room was beautifully decorated and exceeded our expectations and we had a lovely and very affordable dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. We also visited Mont St Michel for one night and the hotel owners were very generous and looked after our big backpacks so we could cycle to and from Le Mont (highly recommended, much more fun than taking the bus!) We’re so grateful for their generosity!
Cons: We were fully satisfied with the hotel, no problems at all!
10.0 Excellent
