breakfast - basic choice, Finnish traditional food. Have problems with food allergies and did not saw any gluten-free bread. Did not asked, but at some hotels it is declared that if you are intolerant to gluten - you can ask special bread. Meal was fine, some meat balls and beans saved me from hunger. This is just a tip to hotel management. Basic room basic comfort, you get what you pay. Coming to this hotel 12 years and only what is new is sauna area. Sauna is OK, pool also OK. Enough space, adequate temperature.
reception is not working 24/7. arrived at 1 AM and kissed doors.....that was surprise. In a whole area( 150 km radius) only 1 hotel have 24/7 reception open, drives back 25 km.....and stayed 2 days at that another hotel. Sauna - in Finland expect Finnish sauna, but due to kids and due to some funny Finns, Finnish sauna was Ruska bania....Russian sauna. Finnish sauna is dry sauna, but funny people and kids just throwing water to the oven like crazy....left sauna. Also left pool....kids were out of control. Pool - did not saw anybody who is taking care about rules and fact that people coming to pool to relax, not to suffer from unknown kids out of control. I was kid, and I have 3 kids, and as a father, I will feel shame that my kids have same behavior. Conclusion was that there is no sense to stay here.
Our motivation to book in this hotel was its location next to a magnificent sandy beach and well-kept tracks in the seaside nature. The hotel has a nice spa and pool section with good saunas. There is also a pool for true swimming, in addition to the common massaging waters and small pools. The breakfast selections are good and tasty.
The room was a so-called budget twin - an option that includes three beds. However, the worst thing in the very basic space was that apparently the maintenance had been stopped decades ago: the floor in particular looked awful but also the door frame in the bathroom was rotting. Two minor things: the curtains are ridiculous and oversize television hides the mirror above the table. (And, when booking, I aimed at a twin room.)
The sauna was hot. The room was quiet and had a nice view.
No towels were provided in the sauna/pool area. The jacuzzi was not very hot and the TV controller didn’t work. The eggs and bacon in the breakfast buffet were cold.
Everything is super
We liked the fact that the hotel was by the water and that the breakfast and spa were included in the price. The breakfast was decent, though nothing extraordinary. There's a bus that goes from the hotel to Pori center, we didn't take it but it seems like a great idea!
The room didn't meet our expectations. The bathroom was pretty outdated, the floors had not been cleaned, there was no AC and it was very hot in the room, even though it wasn't very warm outside. We asked for a late check out, but the staff's response wasn't very friendly. The spa was pretty small and so was the gym, I wouldn't go to Yyteri spa hotel for just the purpose of spa-ing. The restaurant service was pretty horrible. Our waitress was friendly and the food was good, but it took an hour for us to get our order (we overheard other tables complaining to the staff as well).
When you stay at Yyteri Hotel & Spa in Pori, you'll be next to a golf course and steps from Yyteri Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
