Great Resort, Service & Food
+Food is great, specially in the Steak Restaurant +Buffet is also great with too many options and all of them of great quality +Staff service is outstanding, specially waitresses in the beach +Room is big, very clean and modern +Pools are also great, specially kids pool.
-Beach was not the best since there is a lot of seaweed, however it seems to be a general problem y all riviera maya and royalton staff is constantly cleaning it.
Loved the spa, the room, the food. It was my husband's birthday, and they did so many things to make him feel extra special. He said it was one of his most memorable birthdays. They really went above and beyond. We lov d our spa services from Erika and Joselyn.
I didn't like the Timeshare presentation. It ran too long. Truthfully, it ruined my morning. ..we were hoping for bluer ocean.
Waiters waiting for tips and getting mad if they did not get one. High pressure selling of the diamond club.
20 Year Anniv/Honeymoon
We decided to stay at the adults only section of the hotel which was amazing! Our room was ocean front with a balcony and a hot tub on it! The view was amazing! Our room was huge and clean. We had the same staff in and out of our room while we were there for 6 days/5 nights so we were able to get to know them. Alonzo and Margarita were great at keeping the rooms clean and having the beds turned back for us. We had upgraded to the diamond club before we got there and I would definitely do that again! Our butlers Dominquez and Reuben were Amazing!! To help celebrate our 20th anniversary they decorated our room with rose petals and confetti and had the hot tub ready to go for us. When we came back to our room that night there was a bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. They went above and beyond! They always were checking to see if there was anything else we needed. The food was pretty good and even though we had reservations I don't think we would have waited too long at any of the restaurants. The beach was beautiful! It did have a lot of seaweed but they did try hard to keep it clean but there's only so much they can do. The resort had shows every night and we watched most of them and really enjoyed the variety. The Diva's International were good and the Set the night on fire show was amazing! I would recommend this resort and do plan on going back!
Great Vacation marred by Bed Bugs
Beautiful Resort Nice rooms, amenities Great food and drinks On the beach Away from the commotion of Cancun Great Tennis coach. Strangely, the hotel did not publicize the availability of personal tennis lessons. Nice Gym. Unfortunately, the gym/hotel did not sell any protein drinks or powders.
At the end of the trip I learned my mosquito bites were bed bug bites, which means I will have to toss my luggage. Butler service was pointless. I could never reach them and they were of no help on check out. The central pool area was being renovated morning till evening for 3 days of the trip. Thankfully I stayed in the Diamond Club and had access to other smaller pools. The tipping situation feels awkward. I'm not sure how to better handle it though. In early the December the beach is so-so since there still was a fair amount of sea grass. The beaches down south were a lot "cleaner" and the water was clearer.
Close to perfect
Amazing food Close to the beach Ocean view Gorgeous and large rooms Friendly workers who worked very hard
Construction at main pool was loud and annoying Cracks on foundation, I think the resort is sinking?? Mosquitos as it was built in the mangroves
