Casa Colonial is truly a luxury experience if you define luxury as good design and excellent service. It is a very small hotel - 50 rooms - with a beautiful garden and feels much like a cocoon. If you are looking for discos, all you can eat buffets, and loads of water sports, this isn't your spot, but if you are looking for a truly relaxing and restful break, it is a wonderful hotel.

Pros (+) Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Puerto Plata and I have been to five of them. Gorgeous views, courteous staff, all your needs addressed, good food, only place I have stayed as a resort/hotel that actually has Dominican food.
Cons (-) It was not all inclusive. Food and drinks are seperate. However the prices are reasonable and the week was cheaper than I expected. Next time knowing that I will just budget differently.
