Big and heated pools. Good sized rooms. And good drinks(not watered down).
Only 2 restaurants with very limited menu. And some of the items would finish very early leaving rests of the guests with even less choices. There were only 4-5 deserts in lunch and dinner. Nightly shows were pathetic and very few guests attended those. Kids club activities were non-existent.
Great Thanksgiving week vacation in Mexico
Beautiful grounds, suites nice w/ great views, pools, bars. Restaurants were good for breakfast, lunch and dinner - open all day long. Friendly staff. Cooking classes, karaoke, dancing, etc.
Only issue we had was that the Mariachi band played in the lobby until 2am, which included trumpets playing loudly. Some guests took that party to their rooms after causing a disturbance. We called front desk and resort compensated us with a couple of $90 spa certificates (hour massage) as well as champagne and choc-covered strawberries. Appreciated that.
Great overall experience
The grounds are lovely and the staff is great. The access to the beach is a real bonus. Senate at all three restaurants and the food was a cut above what I had initially expected, especially the breakfasts. The rooms are a little Spartan, but honestly very comfortable and extremely clean.
There is no real bar. People hang at the pool all day and they serve drinks in the lobby and restaurants at night, but there isn't a regular bar anywhere on property. Given the amount of alcohol the staff has to run and get (even delivering to rooms) it would seem everyone would be happier with a place that had some music To hang out in. Likely they view the lobby this way, but the ambiance is wrong. It's my only complaint.
