The lunch and dinner food in the restaurant was very good, fresh and hot and delicious.
There is a disconnect somewhere in the staff and management. Garage is filthy and in ill repair. Hotel room air supply ducts are not clean. As per staff; laundry room dryers not functioning and seemingly both broke on the day before my enquiry? Possible but highly unlikely. No maintenance personnel on duty on Sunday to resolve room electrical problem, staff standard answer "I am sorry", what does that phrase resolve? Staff should be coached that it is okay to say "I do not know but I will try to find out the answer". I had to point out to the staff that a circuit breaker had possibly tripped, it tripped a second time and I was moved to another room with wall paper peeling off the wall, shower curtain that was filthy, ceiling of bathtub has brown spots. Senior management should go out and see what is happening or not happening and support the staff with further human and/or financial resources to bring the hotel up to the standard that the hotel is advertised as. Duty manager Mr. Fernando was the only individual who was proactive in attempting to resolve the issues I brought forth.

the breakfast needs more diversity , maybe. my suite was in the 2nd floor and the windows are on the main street so it was bit noisy.

Honest to say , after my bad experiences ROTORUA Millennium hotel , we were pleasantly suprised after check in into Millenium Queenstown hotel . The suite was very comfortable and big with a nice garden view . The Breakfast was perfect, the sauna was hot enough . The gym is a bit small but in hotels you can not really expect huge Gyms . We were 2 days there, the duty manager and the reception staff was very kind.
I was only very disappointed at my checkout with the behave of the front office manager ! He was not kind, didnt even ask how was our stay and couldnt fill my request . Additionaly there was an additional wrong charge of NZD 30 on the invoice, he didnt even appolized for that ! The 2 days we had great experience in this hotel, only this last day checkout was very disappointing !
