Breakfast was delicious but expensive at $17 per person. Location was excellent - within walking distance of central plaza and shops
It would be great if there was an informed short tour of the hotel as the building is very historical and as tourists we are interested in the history and artefacts there.
Originsl room was a suite with spiral stair to bedroom and additional stair to bathroom which we found precarious in the dark. Requested room change and they gladly accommodated.
The place is great.
Personally speaking, staff tended to be rather aloof especially at reception desk. At breakfast no one seemed to be much bothered. Coffee orders were taken without much of a smile I have to say.
Really enjoyed the tea/coffee/water bar and the fresh flowers and plants everywhere. And the real bar, too. The doorman I saw most often was great, and the staff very friendly. Meeting me when I arrived with that hot drink was very comforting.
Great service from the staff at reception. From the arrival in the taxi to departure the service in the hotel couldn’t be faulted. They were consistently helpful when providing advice and booking taxis. Plus they had great self service coffee. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.
