Our suite was beautiful - very bright and spacious, with a great layout, high-quality furniture and a very comfortable bed that was a dream to sleep in. The breakfast was very good - quality food in sizeable portions, plus the fresh fruit juices were delicious. The service was impeccable - all staff members were extremely helpful and polite. I definitely recommend the hotel and look forward to coming back.
Nothing - everything was perfect.
Location is fantastic. Food in the cafe is really good in the evening but breakfast is very slow and disappointing.
Location was great. In the center of Old Town Historic District. Loved the hotel and the staff.
Nothing could have been better that the hotel has any control over. The downside is that the Plaza View room/s which we had are very noisy because of the people in the plaza. We arrived on a holiday weekend so there was celebration going on all weekend, but it didn't end on Monday--the noise continued everyday until we finally left. And the church bells tolled early in the mornings--sometimes 50 times. I didn't get much sleep. If I go again, I would like to try the back side of the hotel--the quieter side. But it is a lovely hotel and the staff was wonderful.
The staff was amazing and the location cation was incredible.
Pretty much everything.
The staff was great! We were met by name when we arrived at midnight and had great service the whole time. Alexander who ran the front desk was perfect.
The Hotel Plaza Grande rises above Quito's central square, known as the Plaza de la Independencia. It was one of the first hotels ever constructed in the capital, and has been extensively renovated and remodeled to become the finest boutique hotel in the city. It is the ideal place from which to explore the wonders of this timeless city.Quito was declared a UNESCO "World Heritage Site" in 1978, thanks to its historic center, which is the largest and best preserved in Latin America. The colonial center of the Franciscan city of Quito is a treasure trove of baroque art and architecture, including buildings, churches, monasteries and narrow streets that reflect Ecuador's unique blend of indigenous and Spanish cultures.
