The Fijian staff were lovely..and the lady who taught us how to tie pareu. Room was clean.
Some of the staff at front office. Down right rude! We got no hello welcome just where's your booking..a cruise ship had come in so they took 1 st priority..I waited in line at the bar like everyone else and they kept serving everyone but me. Rude rude rude..not all..the Fijian staff very nice.as for the others rude. Will never return and will spread the word not to go their either
Good location. Clean and tidy. Beautiful facility. Yummy food in the restaurants. Jug of drinkable water supplied in fridge. Free use of kayaks and swimming equipment. Easy parking. Bed was big and very comfortable. Gorgeous decor in room. Air conditioning made the room comfortable in the heat. Beautiful beach location. Restaurant staff are so lovely and friendly. The entertainment was beautiful.
Wasn’t told at any stage of communication before arrival that a room bond of $100 was needed, or that I had to leave my passport there if I didn’t put the bond down. Room was not what I thought it was, said “beachside” but instead got an upstairs room and no view of the beach at all. It was more like garden side. Room was expensive for one night so I was expecting a lot better. No one had canceled the taxi for the airport transfer even though I messaged them 2 days prior. Activities hut was closed so no beach towels were available for a night swim. Pool closed at 8pm so no night swims. Upon check out, I was asked if I had argued with someone at checkin, which I didn’t. This indicated to me that staff must write things about you in their system. I didn’t feel good about the place after that.
Loved it all . best holiday
Spa bath didn't work
The beach and the snorkling. Probably one of the nicest beaches on the Island. Good live music in the evenings. Good activities desk and free water sport equipment.
The day after the Corona Virus was declared a pandemic the Cook Island allowed passengers from a cruise ship to visit Rarotonga and the Rarotongan Resort (other passengers went to other resorts and the Muri Markets). The resort had about 70 passengers visit by bus and use the facilities for the day, including lunch. Many passengers from the ship independently made their way to the resort and mixed with resort guests while dining. We have since been told that the ship was denied access to Aitutaki yet cruise ship passengers bypassed that ban and flew there instead from Rarotonga. Other cruise passengers are leaving the cruise and flying on commercial flights back to Auckland to beat coming travel bans. Just madness and an unneccassery risk. What will the Cooks Is do if any of those passengers are confirmed with the virus in the next two weeks?
Liked being close to the beach and pool. Very friendly staff with good level of activities
Wardrobe space was very limited. What have liked a can opener.
