We booked as a last minute break, and what a find the Rectory House is, highly recommend a stay. The staff, service and restaurant are all fantastic. We will definitely be back again soon thanks for a great stay.
The Orangery Restaurant was excellent - kudos to the staff and the chef. Good menu, tasty food, well cooked and good table service.
This really is an old Rectory. If you're looking for the "charm" of staying in an old converted English house, then this is right for you - but the "charm" means rattling windows, uneven floors, substandard bathroom and shower, creaky floors, noisy rooms, nowhere to really work in the room... put it this way, if you're regularly travelling for work and used to staying on modern, purpose built hotels (i.e. Radisson etc), likelihood is you'll be frustrated by this hotel. Not much choice in Redditch I suppose. At least this made me realise I prefer the more "modern" hotel... but don't let this put YOU off... this Old Rectory may be exactly what you're looking for!
Really helpful and friendly staff. Loved the free filtered water and homely feel, and my bath was a bonus!
When there were guests in the room above the sound really travelled through to my room a lot
Great vegetarian breakfast and comfortable bed.
I stayed in room number two. The power of the water from the electric shower was weak and the light on the shaving mirror didn’t work.
The staff were amazing, I left my laptop behind and one of the staff took it upon herself to phone me, assist me in getting it sent back via courier and followed up to make sure I'd received it. What awesome customer service.
