Pros. The hotel has a new building which was about a block away from the main lobby, everything was brand new and super clean. Small rooms but this is typical for most hotels for the price you pay.

Cons. At time of check out, the front desk presented us a signed invoice confirming we had ordered a bottle of water which was not the case. Mistakes do happen, perhaps the person who ordered it might have put the wrong room number (which was ours). We informes the guy that we did not order water and the signature was not ours and his reaction was filled with suspicion. Yes, it is just a bottle of water however he made us feel jncomfortable as if we were lying and was not apologetic and exptremely unfriendly.

Pros. I went to ROme in from February 14 to February 21 2015 to escape the frigid weather in NYC. The trip fully achieved it's goals and it was a very welcome departure from the winter routine in NYC. I booked the Royal Court Hotel off the Trip Advisor website which had good things to say about it. It was $ 79/ night for a double room with breakfast included ( rare in Europe) and free Wifi, close to the Termini station in the heart of Rome. In spite of being close to TErmini ( which is a rather colorful and chaotic area), it was on a quiet street a few blocks away. The hotel is old but well kept and recently remodeled in many sectors. The rooms are small but comfortable, very clean and very safe. The fixtures are vintage and the wall paper is silk. The floor is parquet in the bedroom and marble in the bathroom. The breakfast was good and substantial. The hotel staff is very very friendly and accommodating. They all speak English which is a pleasant surprise. Overall, the Royal Court was indeed a very pleasant surprise, especially given the price. Highly recommended for people like myself who want a clean and safe place to sleep, breakfast included for added comfort and want to spend the vacation outside of the hotel room. PS: the Wifi was very good quality in the room I was in ( 214) and i had a private balcony with stairs going down to the inner terrace garden. i would definitely return to this hotel in the future. :)

Opt for a Room in the Main Building

Some guests were disappointed with being moved to a separate building, which led to issues with soundproofing and overall comfort. Requesting a room in the main building might help avoid this inconvenience.

Consider Noise Levels

Several guests mentioned issues with noise, including loud neighbors and street disturbances. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or request a room away from potential sources of noise.

Check for Room Upgrades

Explore Nearby Attractions

The hotel's proximity to various attractions such as the Colosseum, Galleria Borghese, and the Spanish Steps makes it convenient for sightseeing. Guests can plan their itinerary to include these nearby points of interest.

Verify Room Features

Be Mindful of Seasonal Rates

Considering that September is the high season, guests planning a visit during this time should be prepared for potentially higher rates and increased tourist activity.

Inquire About Allergen-Free Options
