Cheap hotel very close to the Termini Station (main central station in Rome). It is not a new hotel, but the price was reasonable
It in a courtyard behind a building with no sign. It could be difficult to find at the beginning.
Almost nothing! The position was good, nearby the Termini station and Via Cavour from where you can easily reach Santa Maria Maggiore, Terme di Diocleziano, Piazza della Repubblica, San Pietro in Vincoli (where you can find Mosè of Michelangelo) and go straight down by Via Cavour to Fori Romani, Colosseo, Vittoriano etc.
Quite ugly room that didn't correspond to the photo of the room that I've booked: I have booked the room in hotel Washington (2 stars) but they've moved me in Resi(1star!)that was quite ugly and there was a bad smell all around in the hotel (of dirty socks!). Very noisy room facing street where the tram passes every now and then. Not very clean bathroom, furniture damaged, scraped color on the walls, dust and dirty chairs. Very thin walls also so you could hear everything. Check in was in the Cherubini hotel on the 2nd floor and after I 've payed I've asked the receipt and there was some mess about that and I have really lost my patience in that point. I have to say that I've only payed 40 euros for 2 nights but it was really awful and not even worthy of that money. Never again!
Rooms were in general very nice and the location was amazing.
We were unaware that city tax has to be paid by cash. Also on our last day there was no hot water.
I was shocked. I didn’t know what to expect when I saw it was a 1 star hotel, but I was shocked when I arrived. I was greeted very warmly by the man at the reception. I arrived late at almost midnight due to my train, and it was such an easy and quick check in. There was a lift that took me to my room floor. The room had a single bed as it was just me staying and a rather large bathroom. It was perfect. It has storage space so that my bag was out of the way yet easily and quickly accessible if needed. Very clean and tidy room, with everything you would need. A two minute walk from Rome Termini, the central bus station, which is only about a 4 min train stop to the Colosseum! When I next come to Rome, I will be very happy to stay here again. You also get the option of having breakfast for €3
A very strong smoke smell in the room, had to air out. It would be good to provide the front door key
