We loved the character - lovely hotel great staff really big rooms and a lovely big dog called Hector
We stayed in the Charles Beauregard room which has windows next to an apartment outside of which the residents chained smoked nearly all day and late at night. As a result our room nearly always smelled of smoke, which wasn’t ideal. The use of the spa isn’t included either, that’s an extra cost.
Great find, the hotel has real charm and is very comfortable & the food and experience in the Auberg next door is exceptional
Gorgeous place to stay. Very friendly staff, and the restaurant was fantastic. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay again
Old chateau with lots of character. Room was huge with antique furniture, tapestries etc and included a covered verandas and a small balcony. Bathroom was fine. Outside facilities included a swimming pool which was welcome. The restaurant was very characterful and like stepping back into a historical re-enactment. Not fine dining but plentifully, well cooked and hearty!
Breakfast was OK
Good location for us en route. Friendly staff.
No bar! Old fashioned country house in its own grounds but very tired decor. On-site restaurant very popular which was open to non-res but limited choice - lambs brains and stuffed suckling pig. Expensive. Continental Breakfast was not worth it.
