Campsite was not up to expectations.noting for kids to do.all mobiles are privately owned.its more of a campsite for retired couples not families.we ended up leaving a week early.
A short distance from the beach. The site was pleasant and it was good that you had access to the sister site over the road. Staff were friendly.
As it was outside school holidays it was very quiet and not much kids around for our daughter to play with.
Pool's are great. Accommodation superb.
Our children were massively disappointed with the Slides being closed. Did not see any reference to that on the website. That was the main reason for the stay. I even emailed to query height restrictions for the boys. That would have been a good time to inform us that they would be closed!
Most of the staff were friendly and there are activities throughout the day and evening. More so for children, not so much adults as advertised. If you have young children it would be better. I travelled with adults and my 15 year old son so not much to do. Pool was good and has two small slides.
Reception was closed on arrival (after 7) so no bed clothes. No aircondition (mobile 30 odd degrees at night) had to buy 3 fans to try cool. It was very uncomfortable and we all couldnt sleep. Snack bar is managed by the same person. We wanted coffee and a panini in the restaurant but we were told to go to the snack bar. Manager said we could not eat it in the restaurant for tax purposes but he managed both. We could not move with our snack or drink to other areas of the site. No drinks by pool permitted. When we arrived we went to the restaurant and waited 40 mins for pizza. Then were told the pizza machine was broke. Everyone had been served before us. Tennis court is very isolated (up the back of site away from everything) To hire a bike its 150 deposit per bike. You have to give approx 330 euro on arrival for cleaning and damages. Very french orientated. Very little english or irish people. Advice is to have a car. Taxis are rare. We went for a taxi at 1pm and told no available taxi until after 6. There is a list of activities. Adult entertainment includes children. Aqua dance started by the pool. The staff set up, played two songs and left. Overall our stay was quite poor and had many bad experiences however may be better for others.
It was lovely and clean..staff made us feel welcome..kids had a ball..
With a stay at Camping du Bois Masson in Saint-Jean-de-Monts, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Plage des Oiseaux and Plage des Salins. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
