Pros: Beautiful, updated, large rooms and nice amenities.
Cons: The TV shut down every 2 minutes and needed restarting. The settings were locked so it could not be fixed. The city of Chalon was deceiving and filled with dog feces and smelled horrible throughout the city.
Pros: Location and parking in centre of Chalons is good. Staff helpful.
Cons: A bit mystified why it gets such a high rating. Air con in our room was impossible to turn off - it was freezing all night! When complained it was yeh it does that. And the hotel itself lacks a bit of character and while it is perfectly fine but for a 4 star hotel I was expecting more.
Pros: Typical French breakfast, Im from Sweden and our hotel breakfast is like a dream but this was French and okay. Front desk where so helpfull and also served me a bottle of champagne later in the evening.
Cons: Didnt know Chalons ens Champagne actually is located far away from Champagne, but a nice drive to Epernay wasnt a problem (30 minutes away)
Pros: Spacious room with good air conditioning and tastefully decorated. Excellent breakfast and staff were very warm and helpful. Able to book a car park space, secure and adjacent to reception
Cons: We would have liked a bar lounge to relax in, that said there is a small lounge & a small garden where you can sit, and we were able to get a glass of wine from the staff member who was very hospitable. If you want a drink after 10.30 pm I think you would need to use the room mini bar. Please note that the hotel does not have a restaurant but they did book us one, which was excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. The location is very good, quiet yet just a few minutes walk to the centre. The nicest part was the staff, they were all friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Pros: The hotel is far better than the pictures would suggest and the staff were very helpful.Even booked our restaurant in advance because they knew that Sunday in August would be a problem. Breakfast was good and we thought that this is an ideal stopping point from Calais on the way to the South. Near to the A26 and yet a nice town with thwe hotel in the centre yet still very quiet.
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: The staff were exceptionally courteous, friendly and professional. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Good quality breakfast.
Pros: staff & place
Pros: Excellent hotel. Lovely room and fine bathroom. Easy parking. Charming staff. We were upgraded because, before we arrived, there was an issue with the air conditioning.
Pros: Friendly staff, wonderful service, lovely room, excellent value for money
A stay at Hotel D'Angleterre places you in the heart of Chalons-en-Champagne, steps from Notre Dame en Vaux and Museum of Fine Arts and Archaeology. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and an elevator (lift). Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Close to the route for the Tour De France and the center of town.
Pros: All Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We used the private parking facility which was worth the extra €5. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were so comfortable it was a great night's sleep. The Bathroom is very large with jacuzzi bath. There was a well stocked mini fridge as well as a coffee making machine. The safe was a generous size making safe storage easier for our valuables. We had dinner in the bistro and the food was superb. The duck was delicious beyond words. After dinner the chef came and said hello to guests and asked if we enjoyed our meal. We complimented him on his excellent skills. He was so friendly and humble. All waiting staff were brilliant with their attentiveness and attention to detail. Breakfast was also excellent with a selection of eggs, meats, cheese, croissants, cereals, fruit and juice. Coffee was great and we felt well fed and ready for our journey.
Cons: A small attention to detail that needs to be addressed at breakfast......the meats were not covered and it wasn't long before a fly or two became attracted to it which was a turn off. Such a shame as the cheeses and yogurts were protected under cover so perhaps just one more cover for the meat would complete the presentation.
Pros: We arrived to be greeted by charming, English speaking staff and were quickly installed in our rooms. We had a delicious dinner in the Brasserie restaurant which also did an amazing meal for our children.
Pros: Location was very handy for where me and my family were going, Epernay. Also the availability of an Electrical Vehicle Charging point (for my car) was more than ideal.
Cons: Nothing. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are due to be in the area or passing through.
Pros: Very friendly staff. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant. A perfect stopping off point for us en route to Haute Savoie. Very dog friendly. We enjoyed Châlons too - lovely parks and rivers.
Pros: Great location, amazing staff and outstanding breakfast. The breakfast was the best I had all throughout Europe.
Cons: air conditioning not operating properly
Pros: An excellent hotel with a first class restaurants and bistro. The bed was big and very comfortable, and the bathroom was superb. Also the hotel is located in an attractive and interesting town.
Cons: Everything was great.
Pros: Splendid breakfast, just wish it wasn't quite so expensive. Comfortable rooms, good aircon, bathroom very good except for the steps to loo and shower in the bathroom - slightly scary when wet. Superb restaurant - felt like a celebratory sort of meal and priced accordingly. Very pleasant service. Felt they'd listened to my complaint from a previous visit about poor room lighting - the room had excellent lighting! Love staying at the Angleterre for all sorts of reasons. Look forward to getting back.
Cons: Restaurant and breakfast prices are high, but oh, so delicious!

Pros: Breakfast was fine. Being able to use the public parking outside the hotel was very useful.
Pros: Breakfast was good and plentiful, dining area was clean and well decorated. Very pleasant. Secure parking below hotel for the motorbike. Room was clean and tidy with a good bathroom
Cons: Nothing really, it is an IBIS and it was to standard. A bit impersonal and the staff did their job but not very forthcoming but that's ok as again, its an IBIS, you get what you pay for
Pros: Very clean
Pros: A one night stop over to break up a long drive. Staff were welcoming; rooms were clean and comfortable; ideal central location; good breakfast included. Extremely good value for money.
Pros: Excellent stay - we asked to be moved to a front room overlooking the square, this the staff did without question. Plus they were helpful regarding the parking on the square.
Pros: I had a very short but pleasant stay in Chalons. It was not my first time there, I like this hotel - good valu for money, very nice staff, room small and simple but it`s all I need.
Pros: The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet and spotlessly clean.
Cons: The coffee was from a machine and was OK, but not brilliant. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Pros: Excellent location on the main square with restaurants all around. Parking on the square is free overnight. Friendly staff. Quiet room

Pros: Excellent hotel, staff member was brilliant! Breakfast was amazing.
Cons: Not a great deal going on in Chalon. Joseph Perrier was closed. Hotel out of main town but didn’t affect our stay.

Cons: Very hot no air con. Random location in the middle of suburbs

Pros: Very 1970s.

Cons: The rooms were very cold as there was aircon on when we arrived late evening and even when we switched it off, there was still very cold inside as the weather outside was horrible.

Pros: Good food and room
Pros: Good food in restaurant. Friendly staff. Good parking
Cons: Everything was fine.
Pros: Late arrival. I could order a hot night meal which was good. Free parking. Nice breakfast. Simple but clean and comfortable.
Cons: A little expensive for it's value. In the middle of nowhere. Quite far from town center - required a car.
Pros: Ideal position near A4 motorway for overnight stay to break a long journey across France and into Germany. Quiet setting and handy restaurant for evening meal.
Cons: No family room available so 2 double rooms make it less practical and rather expensive. Decor dated in hotel part and bedroom doors too heavy and difficult to handle
Pros: It was very clean
Cons: Very expensive for Avery basic small room quite a way out from the centre, some of the evening staff were not very helpful
Pros: What I liked the most was the restaurant. It is very small and the tables are very close together, which I don't normally like, but I really enjoyed the evening meal as there were people from France, Belgium, Germany and the UK all there together and all chatting to one another in French, German and English. The food was very good, too. It was just a lovely, friendly atmosphere.
Pros: Reliable WiFi Good,varied breakfast
Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A very good breakfast with plenty of choice. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was good. Plenty of parking. We liked the fact that the hotel was staffed 24 hours. We would stay here again.
Pros: Clean near motorway for overnight stop. Staff helpful and efficient. Basic restaurant which was perfect for an overnight hotel.
Cons: This hotel needs updating badly. First stayed there 15 years ago Windows didn’t close properly, shower dangerously slippery restaurant not big enough Overall very poor
With a stay at Hotel de la cité in Chalons-en-Champagne, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Notre Dame en Vaux and Museum of Fine Arts and Archaeology. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage.
Pros: A quirky little find, near enough to the centre to walk for a meal, far enough to be away from noise and traffic. Carmen was a very helpful and honest host, her best quote, "We are an old hotel and the facilities are old and French". If you want modern and boring, then stay at the usual factory produced places, if you wish to stay in real France, you cannot go far wrong. We happened upon the illumination display by accident, a real bonus for the town with animated displays on some of the major buildings. Walking through the town and back streets without any fear or concerns.
Pros: I would like to be fair and not to critical of this property as I believe. . . . 'you get what you pay for'. So . . . . . The room (we had the ground floor room No. 1) was larger than expected . . .a shame about the decor. The bathroom was larger too . .but again, a shame about the decor. The breakfast room had a fine ceiling which is all I want to say about breakfast. The on street parking was free and very convenient and two restaurants within 5-15 minuite walking was also a plus. As for the location . . . .Quiet, out of the way but not a hotel of the city . . .not even on the high street. And as for 'you get what you pay for' I thought at 136.28e for two persons for two nights (with only one breakfast) was over priced for this standard of accommodation.
Cons: see my comments as expressed
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating. Good value for money
Cons: Decor a little tired
Pros: Spacious room, good location for overnight stop, clean & feels homely. Nice French culture
Cons: No air conditioning. No tea or coffee facilities
Pros: The staff were most helpful and friendly.
Pros: Enormous ground-floor room and bathroom. Easy street parking, and walking distance to city centre.
Cons: Unprepossessing location. Breakfast selection basic, even with supplement - though inexpensive by French standards! Gardens neglected, unlike photos.
Pros: The bed room was large and airy and the bathroom was also large. Plenty of hot water and a nice long bath. The room was very quiet but a little bit chilly. Good parking outside hotel and not far too walk into the town. Hotel easy too find.
Cons: The bed was hard and we were glad we had our own pillows. No tea/coffee making facilities. Television too far away from bed. As it was a holiday we were surprised that the host didn’t,t know which restaurants were open in the town for her guests.
Pros: This wa a very pretty romantic old style hotel with very clean comfortable rooms.
Cons: The breakfast coukd be better.
Pros: The hotel had a homely feel. Everything was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and the room was a good size. The breakfast was very good value and tasty.
Cons: There was a tired look to the interior. The stair carpet needs repairing for the sake of safety. The shower doors didn't quite close. But neither caused us a problem.
Located in Saint-Martin-sur-le-Pre, Enzo Chalons is in the suburbs, within a 5-minute drive of Notre Dame en Vaux and Museum of Fine Arts and Archaeology. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: it was easy to find the hotel, at a quiet location
Cons: very tiny bathroom with old shower, toilet strong smell of freshly painted walls, they looked good, but the smell was not healthy
Pros: Simple , clean . Fine for a short stopover on a long journey.
Cons: Traffic noise
Pros: Parking place
Cons: Equipments from bathroom very old (especially the wash basin) . The air conditional worked all the night without possibility to switch off, creating a strong nossy —no chance to sleep well.
Pros: Check in 24/7
Cons: Miniscule WC/shower
Pros: Security gate as we were on motorbikes. However the pedestrian gate was left unlocked all night which was wide enough to get bikes out.
Cons: Two beds in our room blocked access to the toilet, I complained to staff who said tough. They didn’t care and was rude.
Pros: Price was cheap, location was OK
Cons: Bedroom tiny. nowhere to put a bag - left it on the floor Bathroom so small you couldn’t sit on the toilet without putting your foot in the shower tray which was filthy. Bedroom Window was about 3ft x 2ft and directly facing a wall. Shower head not fixed to the wall,
Cons: Breakfast could better.
Pros: Proximity to New China Restaurant
Cons: Room had 2 Single Beds , but you could not watch the TV together without being in one single bed .
Pros: Very good value for money. Easy access to motorway network. Chinese restaurant right next door.
Cons: Light by bed not working, maybe needed a simple lamp replacement but no staff at night. Toilet roll dispenser lid not actually attached, broken clips, and fell off.
Pros: I was here for one night, on the way to Paris. next to the highway, good for a 1-night stay.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location. Dinner.
Cons: Room very tired, towels very thin, breakfast average. Doors fit poorly.
Pros: The shutter to let light into the room did not work. When reported we were told it would be fixed the following day.We asked for another room and were told that none were available (NOT TRUE) Our room was at the back of the hotel near a noisy lorry park.we suspect the worst available. The gardens were unkempt with lots of litter. We asked for a dinner menu and were told it was inthe room...it was not,so we were reluctantly given one we stayed in this hotel twice several years ago, never again. It seemed as if it was being run down for closure.
Pros: good restaurant with good value and tasty food. big room, comfy beds and hot water dog-friendly
Cons: Room smelt of cigarettes and was very basic for the high price. Restaurant way too expensive
Pros: Comfy beds
Cons: Price of drinks, 7 euros for poor quality lager.
Cons: Noisy location
Cons: The room we stayed in overnight was smelly, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
Pros: Good location and we have used many times so know what to expect.
Cons: Rooms are "tired" and dark. Towels very worn/thin and at breakfast there were no cereals (there normally are).
Pros: Beds very comfortable. Only a short drive into Chalons and just a walk to nearby supermarkets. Good place to stop for a night but I wouldn't want to stay there for longer.
Cons: One of the receptionists seemed really grumpy and unhelpful - perhaps he was just taciturn, but it put us off dining in the restaurant.
With a stay at Hotel Première Classe Chalons-en-Champagne in Saint-Martin-sur-le-Pre, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Notre Dame en Vaux and Museum of Fine Arts and Archaeology. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Cheap and cheerful and good location next to motorway. So whilst nothing special it is perfectly fine.
Pros: Ideally located, clean and the breakfast was good.
Cons: I didn't realise the room was not air conditioned. It was uncomfortably warm in the room. I checked my next Premiere Classe hotel room in Avignon for the following night and that had air conditioning, what a difference. I cancelled my return booking with Premiere Classe 2 weeks later and changed to a hotel in Saint Quentin with air conditioning.
Pros: Breakfast OK if a little boring. Good to have storage in the rooms and a choice of beds
Cons: Rooms VERY noisy and hot
Pros: Easy to get to and great as a stop off
Cons: Nothing all good - would recommend as a great transit stip
Pros: the breakfast was not terrible, but o.k. The location is perfect for me, on my journey to Switzerland.
Cons: The breakfast....
Pros: The property was basic but practical. I read many reviews saying traffic noise was an issue but it honestly didn’t bother us or our three small children one bit. The beds were spacious and really comfortable. We arrived later than the check in time and had trouble checking in using the machine but just a quick phone call and a member of staff was there to help! She didn’t speak English however and we don’t speak French so it was a little bit of a struggle at first but we used a translator on her phone and were soon in our rooms
Cons: WiFi wasn’t working I found the fact that we had to book two rooms for s family a little odd but I think it’s a common thing in France as we weren’t able to find anywhere that could accommodate us all in just the one room Breakfast was a little basic with very limited selection but then it was only an extra €1 on our booking so we weren’t really expecting much
Cons: Rooms stank of smoke and tired in general, toilet leaked, tv didn't work, bedding ropey. Had requested 2 rooms side by side as travelling as a family - booking accepted on this principle but not honoured. Were at completely different sides of the complex. Awful hotels, baby daughter ended up covered in bites.
Pros: I did like nothing because I had bad night noise all night I can't sleep properly some what fighting singing...
Cons: I had bad night it was noise from neighbours fighting and shouting all night until 3 o'clock
Cons: No air con rooms were so hot you couldn’t breathe
Pros: Very convenient for the Champagne region. Supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance, and petrol station very near to the hotel.
Cons: A bit noisy due to location near motorways.
Pros: Unfortunalty there is nothing good to say we were happy to leave
Cons: The room quality was very poor and the noise levels high you can hear people in the rooms either side and above. The room was a none smoking room but the smell of smoke was almost over powering. The smell from the drains came up through the plug hole in the bathroom. the other couple with us also have a non-smoking room and had to ask to be moved, the 2nd room wasn't much better
Cons: no facility to make a cup of hot drink.room extreamly small and shower facility extreamly poor.we do not expect the toilet to be in a very bad excuse for a wet room.would never stay again.
Pros: The hotel is ok. Nothing bad, nothing special, perfect if you just want a place to sleep and that's all! It was my case and good for my purpose.
Pros: Efficient and easy to find and check-in. Good value
Cons: Very small room.
Pros: Nothing in particular. It was a most uncomfortable experience but............I guess you get what you pay for
hotelF1, the new generation of low-cost hotels in France. DUO and TRIO rooms for your business or leisure stays. Outside the room is a spacious bathroom and shower area. hotelF1 de Châlons-en-Champagne is located in the Mont Héry business park. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the city center, and 15 minutes from the Champagne vineyards. The exhibition center is 10 minutes away.
Cons: horrible location, nasty smile lol-filled hallways, no towels, no soap, shared toilets with junkies
Pros: simple room, but nobody takes care for this place.....sunday morning already crying children with their crying parents woke me up......i would go there again when familys would be forbidden to stay there, or somebody would take them out when they don`t know how to behave......yes we need more people on this planet...make more.....oohh.....
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: No towels or soap. Room extremely dirty and smelly. Ashtray, ashes, and cigarettes in the room including on the bed. Only two toilets and one sower for an entire floor. I’ve never been to a Fomule 1 hotel this bad before.
Pros: Location - stop-over on the way to the Alps for ski holiday
Cons: F1 are always a bit noisy.
Pros: Great value for money and location, easy parking and check in/ out hassle free.
Cons: Toilet not great by guests leaving mess.
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness
Pros: Cheep, free parking
Cons: Shared toilets without a lift up seat, disgusting if you need to sit to “do your business”. No towel in the room. Very basic cheap hotel.
Pros: Maybe what you expect from formula to be. Just place on your trip when you need quick sleep and continue on the road.
Pros: Beds were reasonably comfortable. Breakfast ok and plenty of coffee, parking fine.
Cons: Very poor responses as my first room booking was made in error - the app changed my date of booking and did not show before I paid. A rip-off, as I had to pay twice, very dissatisfied with booking.com and F1. Cracked toilet seat on first floor holding water against skin
