Nevsky Hotel Grand

The location of the property is prime as it is possible to walk down the area and see things for yourselves even without a guide. A lot of shops and restaurants around.

The economy double room is very small and is crowded with furniture therefoe hardly any space for movement. The beds are not comfortable and there is a constant bad smell from the bathroom. When we brought to the notice of the receptionist, were told that this is found everytwhere in Saint Petersburg. However, a staff was sent to check and we were given a different room. The hotel is very old. The hotel's location is prime and therefore more rooms were added dividiing the bigger rooms into smaller self contained economy rooms which are not worth the money one pays. Due to this the room walls are so thin that one can hear talking and noise from the next room. The hotel helps by giving you earplugs on request. In the morning on the way to breakfast, one can see a lot of black bags outside the room door and does not get moved till late afternoon when the housekeeping is done.

Breakfast should improve.
