Pros:Hotel is clean! The rooms were immaculate at check in. Beds were comfortable, and linens and towels were fresh. Front desk staff was able to provide the extra towels and other items we needed. Great location - right across the street from the Salt Palace Convention Center south entrance, and also just a couple of blocks away from City Creek mall. Walking distance to many restaurants and train.
Cons:There was no housekeeping during our 3 night stay which we were only told about at check in. I wouldn't have a problem with this as long as it was posted on the hotel website, but it's definitely not. Was told they would pick up trash placed outside the room by noon everyday, but there were no extra trash bags in the rooms. Sliding pocket door between toilet shower and sink kitchen area does not latch or properly close and toilet is right in front of the opening. And even though I checked in early (day before on the app) with notification of early check in, my room (and most others) were not ready until 3PM or later. Also, no late checkout for IHG members. Contract says if you don't want delivery of paper to your room, you would receive a credit to your bill every day. There was no paper delivery, and also no credit. Coffee in the breakfast area was awful during breakfast, and also awful plus cold when I tried to get a cup at 7pm. Apparently the coffee is not brewed into the carafes and instead brought out in a pitcher from the back and then poured into the carafe in the breakfast area. I used to work in a coffee shop, and many degrees of heat are lost in this process.

Pros:The buffet breakfast had a good variety from day to day and was so convenient.
Cons:I booked a year in advance with Elite Status Priority Club status and was told when i checked in at 3:30 in the afternoon "all we have left is the second floor". The room was by the laundry room. We could hear the spin cycles all night long. It was also near some kind of outside air vent that sounded like a jet engine every time it turned off and on. It's one thing to get "the loud room" for a last minute booking, but disappointing when I booked a year in advance.
