Pros. We are moving from coast to coast during the COVID 19 crisis. The Gibbs Hotel (across from the Alamo) was not just open, they were extremely welcoming and caring within the necessary restrictions. We had the most beautiful room ever overlooking the Alamo. Although beautiful San Antonio was closed during the pandemic, we will not forget our stay at the Gibbs. It makes things so much better when everyone is worried and stressed to have a place where they not only remember their history, they preserve their beautiful hotel with all the modern amenities. This is a 5* property with 5* staff.
Cons. As a downtown hotel, they have parking in a city lot which is certainly going to be very busy and crowded in normal tourist times in downtown San Antonio.
