It was a nice enough hotel, but I didn't do enough research and realize it was in the Tenderloin district. The area was a little sketchy, but the hotel was good and there was parking next door for $60 a day with in/out privileges. There was a coffee bar in the AM too.

The parking situation is less than ideal. Rooms are very small and heat controls are not operational. Very noisy with poor sound insulation. Decore was nice and the staff was friendly. The attached restaurant is not good Served me raw hamburger meat. Not rare straight raw.

Pros (+) I really liked the architecture and our bellhop/concierge (they play double duty) was really nice.
Cons (-) The rooms are small, which I expected from an old building. The mattresses are awful (truly, truly awful), which I din't expect and the price is high for low amenities and low quality. Also, the valet parking is $60/day. When we checked out, they asked how our stay was and I told them the mattresses were really uncomfortable and they just sort of ignored that.
