The breakfast was good.
We booked and paid for a room for 5 but they only gave us a room for 4, without the services specified in the booking.

The location is great, just 5 minutes walk into the centre of town. The bathroom was very clean and the view from the ample balcony overlooking the stream and the beautiful mountains was a real bonus. The lady who did the meet and greet was very kind and friendly.
The bar and restaurant were closed as it's mid September and probably out of season (quite a few bars, restaurants and shops in the town were also closed).

The room was cold and damp, they insisted it was warm enough, it was not, most of the time the heat was off, the internet is weak, there was mold on the shower tile grout and the wall above it, the room was described as carpeted but it was not, the room lighting was poor, the breakfast was just okay, the room was over priced, the parking is tight, the hallway is very narrow, no elevator and the television is tiny.

Location was amazing. Staff member was lovely.
Room was old-fashioned - shower head was very wonky and hard to use. Bed was not so comfy.

Villa Elena has a splendid location, offering great view over the river crossing San Martino on a very reasonable price. The hotel is run by people who care about their guests. They keep it clean, maintain a nice, personal relationship and do not shy away to go over and beyond. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay in San Martino di Castrozza!
