The hotel is haunted. In May 30, 1892, the proprietor Alejandro Bahín and his maid were brutally murdered by 3 delinquents. In 1902, the painter Pablo Uranga witnessed in the attic of the Ayala-Berganza mansion a demonic ritual perpetrated by teethless witches doing witchcraft dedicated to evil adoration. We were in this hotel for 2 nights and heard all kinds of noises during the night. It was great. Really a haunted place as we expected
The price during the weekend.
Bed was hard, and old. The room and bathrooms need a remodeling urgently. Safe did not work.
Quiet quant reasonably comfortable very 80's like going back in time .
Older people on reception not very helpful .younger people the opposite didn't like the fact that the hotel was booked in February and the total cost was taken out straight away 4 months before trip . The bathroom was old fashioned and in need off an upgrade .
Beautiful building inside and outside Great location for town Helpful staff in planning what to see
The location was very convenient, easy walking access to everywhere but not right in the centre of town so we were able to sleep. The decor was a little dated but the space was good for our family of four. We opted to have breakfast at the hotel and it was a good combination of foods (there is also an awesome bakery near Plaza Mayor that opens early)
Good property security but with only one key it made it difficult for people to come and go at different times.
With a stay at Palacio Ayala Berganza, you'll be centrally located in Segovia, just a 4-minute walk from Segovia Aqueduct and 8 minutes by foot from Segovia Cathedral. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
