The hotel upon entry was stunning. Our room was luxurious and roomy. The beds were very comfortable as we the room.
Everything that preceded after that was disappointing. When ordering hot water for tea and requesting extra tea bags (of which were free in the room to start)- we were charged $4 per bag and then were never restocked in the room. The front desk staff became intolerant and annoyed whenever I had a question about room cleaning or billing charges. I was shocked by the attitude overall. We let them know that our ceiling was dripping large amounts of water and the paint was bubbling up on the walls of the bathroom, but they seemed unconcerned. Lastly, my card ended up having an extra authorization hold on it that I had to call to have released so that my bank could release the funds back into my account. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and I have never had the hotel not only charge the entire amount upon check in- but not be able to split the charges upon checkin. The accounting department was helpful, but I felt like I needed to impress the seriousness of $1000 being held from my account, $140 of it that never should have been charged to begin with. For such a beautiful hotel, I would have expected better customer service for sure.
The location was wonderful and so was the design. It was also very clean
Some of the staff was rude. The room especially the bathroom has no ventilation.
Staff was friendly and efficient. The room was nice, contemporary, and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
A mini fridge would have been nice. Also, there was no view from the room. From our room, we only had a view of the wall of the building next door and all of the air conditioner units.
What was lacking?
Access to a pool and hot tub. At least they could let you use the pool at neighboring properties owned by the same company

The bed was so comfortable, the staff was courteous and helpful, everything was very clean and the building was absolutely beautiful! It is located right so close to everything downtown we just walked everywhere!
The bedroom was a little bit small, there was only about 2 ft, maybe less, between the end of the bed and the wall. However, it is an old building so that's to be expected. We had a not so beautiful view of the A/C units but for the price, I can't complain.

Beautiful hotel in great location, but...
The good -The hotel lobby and exterior are beautiful, the decor in the rooms are nice -The beds, pillows and linens were the most comfortable I've ever experienced -The location is perfect, close to entertainment, restaurants and nightlife
The bad -There's no fridge or microwave. If you're like me you might think, "no big deal." If you stay more than one night, it's a big frickin deal. You can't even have a cold drink of water without going to the 8th floor for ice. Forget the left overs from dinner you might want to bring back. Or the bottle of wine you'd like to chill. Or anything else that may need to be cold. It's a huge inconvenience that no milk and cookies or free wine can make up for. I can not for the life of me understand why they didn't install a fridge. -The breakfast is the worst. Plan on eating breakfast out. The options are extremely limited. Toast, bagels, cereal, muffins, and a few fruits. If I was staying one night, I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel. The problem is, I never stay one night anywhere. The no fridge thing is the tipping point for me. There's nothing else that differentiates this hotel from the major chains than the lack of a couple of basic amenities/services, a fridge, a microwave and a good breakfast.
A wonderful overnight
The property is beautiful, the staff was exceptionally courteous and attentive, and the room was very comfortable and relaxing with an interesting layout.
The only thing I could call a negative was the view out our windows of the HVAC units.
Stunning hotel, extremely nice staff. I normally don't spend this amount on hotels but it was nice to treat myself. I hope I get to go back again! So cute to have cookie time even though I wasn't able to make it, same with the happy hour.
